My partner and I wanted to avoid the frenetic, commercial but beautiful tavernas and restaurants on waterfront and a friend who spends a lot of time in Chania recommended this place. We ate there once in the evening and once 10 days later on our return to Chania and lunch time. Very generous portions of fresh squid, mountain greens, very... More

Long story short: Absolutely great place if you want to try real Greek cousine. Food was delicious, staff perfect. We ordered many starters to share to try as much as we could, and everything was great. (+ The cats wandering around tables were lovely and cute) Also, great place for vegetarians, plenty of great non-meat food! Farewell greek honey-nut cake... More

This is a jewel I wish we had discovered earlier. Go to the kitchen and check out the amazing home made "classic" Greek foods. It is tucked away from the traffic at the harbour. It feels and IS authentic. Worth a visit if you want real Greek food. We also found the fried squid to be better than the last... More

The owner specializes in "home cooked" food--the same quality and choice of food you would be served on a special occasion in a Greek's home. Superb dishes: fried zucchini, stuffed zucchini flowers, sardines, baby okra or green beans in tomato sauce, green beans in tomato, zucchini and potatoes au gratin (boureki), stuffed vine leaves, wild green baby pies, and a... We had a great lunch there Sunday. The food is very good, and the atmosphere is so nice. We always come here at least once when in Chania. Not to many tourists here as it is not on the harbor. We had horta, lamb, meatballs, okra, zatziki, salat, fish! Lots of food and taste's. Home cooked food for a good... More

We discovered this restaurant last year and this year while visiting Chania again we had a dinner at this nice place three times during our 10 days stay. We couldn`t wait to taste again a wonderful home food and we had to go there already on our very first day of our stay. And we were not disappointed. On the... More

For delicious fresh fish and traditional Greek dishes, like stuffed courgette flowers with yogurt, seek out the unpretentious Doloma, which lies half-hidden behind mulberry trees in a peaceful yard overlooking the back of the Venetian dockyards

This was just the right place - it was set back and away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets. The food was really good as well, and so affordable. I would definitely recommend the grilled feta cheese

If you love getting into real Cretan food, then Doloma is the place to go. It's not fancy or expensive like many of the restaurants on the nearby marina but the food is top notch. If you want salad or chips or grilled fish/meat it won't float your boat but if like me you like to sit down, throw away... More
