All reviews sandwich bread cakes best breakfast in town old town late breakfast picturesque street service with a smile worth the wait cute place portions are generous cozy atmosphere traditional greek kind staff food was fantastic bakery mushrooms
Staff were professional, polite and not too over the top. Just asked for our order and let us enjoy our food in peace. The food itself was tasty, if you like Greek breakfasts. Whilst it was cooked very well, it felt like more of a...lunch or light dinner rather than a breakfast, but that's personal preference and shouldn't put you off. You're here for Greece, try the traditional food. W ordered the Cretan dish and a scam led egg with avocado, tomato and mushrooms. freshly squeezed orange juice. Location is on a narrow street opposite an art gallery store. Looking down the street you can see the harbour. Looking the other way Is another cafe. Breakfast for two with two meals, two orange juice and two coffees is around €26. Not the cheapest but portions are generous and it is in a tourist location. Again, the food was nice if you like your traditional Greek breakfasts and this is definitely a good place to try.More
The food looked amazing but unfortunately we didn’t get around the eating as we were made to feel like they were doing us a favour by giving us take a table.
Not very friendly which is a surprise based on our other experiences in Chania
The one star is only for the food which was excellent which we could not even enjoy since the stuff had already destroyed our mood by their behaviour.
1. They were extremely impolite and talked to us with a stunningly rude and aggressive way. They...were constantly indicating us were to sit.
2. I stood up for a second to check the baby and they complained immediately.
3. A kid was walking between the two tables we had and they were staring at us annoyed.
4. A couple of friends passed by for five minutes and the chef came again asking them to leave because they were causing a problem being next to the table.
All that happened at 9:30am and when the streets were still empty.
The chef ("manager") made all those comments claiming that he wanted to be compliant with the covid regulations but he was not wearing a mask !!!! When I asked him why his answer was "the absence of my mask is your problem?"
I am sorry but I cannot enjoy my food when I am not respected.
All the comments could have been made in a polite way but that word did not exist in their vocabulary.More
