The menu for lunch is quite short but ingredients are fresh and tasty. We had a salad with shrimps and the local pasta with mushrooms and chicken and it was amazing! Desserts are also really good. This place can be good for breakfast and for...drinking cocktails in the evening too!More
We had a lunch there, and we found the quality of dishes and products really good! They have an interesting menu, my exotic salad with shrimps was just amazing, and my husband fell in love with local pasta with chicken. Try banoffee as desert, and...you will be amazed!More
Had breakfast at Zygos after reading great reviews. So glad we picked this place. The location is wonderful, in a shady spot next to the lake in the centre of Agios Nikolaos. The food was wonderful, we had cheese omelette, ham and cheese toastie on...sour dough and the shashuka (baked eggs with sausage, tomato and spices). The coffee and smoothies were also excellent. A great meal in a fabulous setting!More
The Location is the best!right at the end of the lake! In the afternoon is the best time to go!great beers and pancakes! I rated with a 4 star just because of the coffee.its not that good. But our overall experience was great!
We knew it’s always busy here so we emailed to book and received a prompt positive reply.
Zygos occupies a good position at the foot of the cliff beside the lake so although it was particularly breezy, we were sheltered.
This is a popular restaurant.../ cafe with all ages and family groups so be prepared for a few kids... There’s also a duck who’s adopted the restaurant which our waitress says is a pest as it poos everywhere so don’t feed it!
The menu is limited and the wine extortionately priced (€4 will get a 50cl carafe anywhere else but here it’s €5 for a 150cl glass of local white).
They make their own bread which is unusual.
All in all, we honestly felt part of a conveyor belt so slightly disappointing.More
-Food was excellent—we came 2 days in a row.
-Views/atmosphere were fantastic.
-The service was like chasing the waiter/waitress around to get what we needed (more water, ketchup, the bill). If you come, come with lots of time to spend.
