Amazing views of the city and amazing food! It was lovely to sit there overlooking Athens and have our last dinner in Athens. We had variety of things and they were all delicious! From sweet feta started to salad and fresh local fish!! Will definitely...be coming back there again!!More

On a beautiful sunny and hot morning my twin brother Stephen and I were exploring the back streets of the Plaka District when we decided to drop into Elaia Restaurant and what a great find. A lovely restaurant ,a nice interior ,great decor and furnishings...,lots of seating options inside and outside and on their rooftop garden area ,all in all a superb restaurant to chill out . We were here on a Thursday late morning ,temperatures in the 90's ,we sat outside and ordered a freddo cappuccino ( iced coffee ) and these were served in no time at all ,we chilled out and planned out the day ahead while sipping our iced coffee's. I enjoy an iced coffee every now and again especially when the weather is this hot ,a perfect drink to start the day off and a perfect drink to cool you down. We really enjoyed our iced coffee's before moving on and for a first time visit to here we had a great time. Elaia Restaurant is easy to locate along Erechtheos / Erotokritou in the Plaka District . Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday,8.30am till 12.30am. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.More

Lovely location, food is ok but would have been a much nicer evening if our main dishes did not arrive 1 hour apart! Maybe a busy evening but we were sat right in the path of the kitchen so it was clear that only one...of us had a plate of food. Disappointing as we had high hopes for a lovely evening (eating our meal together at the same time).More

Elaia is an excellent restaurant that offer a superb food and drinks menu and was one of the many restaurant's and bars we went to on a seven day holiday in Athens. This brilliant restaurant is located in Plaka in the picturesque old back street's...where there are many interesting bars and cafés and tavernas and many sights. This superb restaurant is located in a prime location in Plaka and has amazing views of Athens. We never went inside this restaurant as the weather was superb and we took a seat by the main entrance and ordered our drink's which where a Freddo Cappuccino a very refreshing iced coffee which where superb but a tad expensive. This is an excellent restaurant in a brilliant area of Athens and is well worth a visit and is really easy to locate from Mētropolē bus stop its a couple of minutes walk.(This is my first review of Elaia restaurant). Opening Hours. Monday-Sunday-08.30-00.30. Public Transport. Bus stop. Mētropolē bus stop.More

We just came here for some wine and small bites on the lovely stairs of Plaka, which worked out perfectly. The service was very friendly and helpful. We had a perfect wine, some nice olives and cheese. Good place for a drink.

We were all very excited to try Elaia, the whole experience was poor. Starters came intermittent and one of my fritters dropped on the floor, one stater completely forgotten.Courgette fritters were so heavy, like pancake batter , not good. Main course was a seafood linguine,...I don't know where the chef learned to cook , but it again was inedible, one of us had the ribs and again the taste was off. One had pasta bolognaise with peas, looked like a child's meal and all in all service was dis jointed and not noticing what was happening at the table. After complaining the bill was paid in full because I felt they just don't care about customers only the money. The chef never came out to speak with us . Shame on you .More

We stumbled upon this place after our tour of the Acropolis. The stuffed grape leaves were the best I've ever had and they had a decent selection of wine. The atmosphere was fun too.

This restaurant sells vouchers through Expedia listed as Romantic Dinner with Acropolis View in English, includes Food and Drinks for $85 per person. We purchased this experience for our trip to Athens due to the pictures posted of an Acropolis view. We surmised that the...food must be high quality for such a high price. It turned out that the view depicted was not the actual view from the restaurant. We got a partial view of the wall of the Acropolis. The food was not prime, in fact it was basic quality food. I was served Moussaka and my wife was served bell peppers stuffed with rice. We got a Greek salad and two tiny glasses of wine with two tiny Baklava for dessert. We totaled the price of these items based on the menu prices and it came to $33 US for both of us. This is totally unacceptable for the price we paid. Beware if you are planning to buy this voucher. Expedia is thankfully looking into this issue and will be contacting the company to address the false pictures posted.More

Visited with my wife. Great rooftop table looking over the sights of Athens. Service was average. Was our first night in greece and we had great expectations for the food. Chicken souvlaki was terrible. Over cooked, served with a horrible sauce which was definitely not...home made. Compared to the food we had on the rest of the holiday this was by far the worst.More

Ate here tonight. Had dinner with friends and was very good. Left an impression. The menu was quite extensive and food was good. We ordered anchovies, Greek salad and grilled feta cheese for appetiser and I had sea bass. My friend had the land and...was very good. We had dinner on the roof top which was highly recommended. Got to reserve if you want to eat on the roof top. Overall good service and left feeling happy and full.More

The boss is so unprofessional. There was only one waitress for so many tables. The lady-boss was just sitting and looking. We asked her to bring us some water and se was doing grimaces. Finally she brought the water and dropped it at the table....We felt so embarrassed and annoyed...When we asked her for the bill she replied while doing grimaces “do I look for a waitress? Wait for her!!” Then we asked the bill from the waitress and her reply was “don t you see that I am alone for so many tables!!” Such a bad choice!! There are so many other cafes at the area to go! We do not recommend this place to anyone.More
