We just stopped by for some wine and some starters to share, feta cheese and garlic bread. A perfect snack!

This restaurant sells vouchers through Expedia listed as Romantic Dinner with Acropolis View in English, includes Food and Drinks for $85 per person. We purchased this experience for our trip to Athens due to the pictures posted of an Acropolis view. We surmised that the...food must be high quality for such a high price. It turned out that the view depicted was not the actual view from the restaurant. We got a partial view of the wall of the Acropolis. The food was not prime, in fact it was basic quality food. I was served Moussaka and my wife was served bell peppers stuffed with rice. We got a Greek salad and two tiny glasses of wine with two tiny Baklava for dessert. We totaled the price of these items based on the menu prices and it came to $33 US for both of us. This is totally unacceptable for the price we paid. Beware if you are planning to buy this voucher. Expedia is thankfully looking into this issue and will be contacting the company to address the false pictures posted.More

Visited with my wife. Great rooftop table looking over the sights of Athens. Service was average. Was our first night in greece and we had great expectations for the food. Chicken souvlaki was terrible. Over cooked, served with a horrible sauce which was definitely not...home made. Compared to the food we had on the rest of the holiday this was by far the worst.More

Ate here tonight. Had dinner with friends and was very good. Left an impression. The menu was quite extensive and food was good. We ordered anchovies, Greek salad and grilled feta cheese for appetiser and I had sea bass. My friend had the land and...was very good. We had dinner on the roof top which was highly recommended. Got to reserve if you want to eat on the roof top. Overall good service and left feeling happy and full.More

The boss is so unprofessional. There was only one waitress for so many tables. The lady-boss was just sitting and looking. We asked her to bring us some water and se was doing grimaces. Finally she brought the water and dropped it at the table....We felt so embarrassed and annoyed...When we asked her for the bill she replied while doing grimaces “do I look for a waitress? Wait for her!!” Then we asked the bill from the waitress and her reply was “don t you see that I am alone for so many tables!!” Such a bad choice!! There are so many other cafes at the area to go! We do not recommend this place to anyone.More

Beautiful service, delicious vegan combo plate, and perfect location near the Plaka and Acropolis. Prices were good on top of it. Highly recommended.

Near the Acropolis, you can sit outside and people watch, whilst also having great traditional Greek food.

Since we wanted to have dinner in a rooftop restaurant with the view of the Acropolis, the Elaia sounded an obvious choice. We were a family of six, with different opinions at the end of the night. Better if I'm writing only about my impressions,...and let the others tell their judgment. The restaurant is on the Plaka, and that was one of my criteria since long years ago I wasn't able to stay to have dinner there, and even nowadays I had that luck several times, it is still a magic location for me. At 8.30-9 o'clock, the rooftop was full, and this is why I don't complain about the speed of the service. Numerous waiters were frequently running, carrying huge plates, and considering the number of guests; the service wasn't bad. Our waiters were polite, attentive, and always ready with a helping hand. The portions were very generous; I shared my fried anchovies that I had as an entree with others. They were good, but not excellent, however, my eggplant with seafood was a bit of a disappointment. The taste of it was OK, but it was swimming in a pool of olive oil, and I dislike too greasy food. The rose wine that we ordered was fine, and the other members of our family were satisfied.More

I usually read the more recent reviews before I write one, so I can see some customers were less than impressed with the service. We booked for 4 adults and two teenagers at 20:00 on the rooftop and it was already fairly crowded when we...arrived. We sat so our adult guests could see the sunset as we had eaten at Plaka rooftop restaurants (but not this one) several times already. The view of the Acropolis is not spectacular but that is generally true for Plaka as mostly you see the walls which can still look romantic at sunset. We had a bottle of Rose plus Greek beer. My partner and I had fried anchovies which came in generous portions so we shared them with the other adults. Everyone thought they were very good but I withhold excellent based on some restaurants in Tolo that specialise in seafood I had moussaka as a main and it was vey similar to lasagne. My lady had eggplant with seafood which tasted OK but had too much oil. I didn't try to follow what the other people had. I thought the service was good and most tables were full so they were very busy.More

Went here with my mum and sister for an evening meal. We asked for a rooftop table because we heard good reviews of the view. Was seated near the live music which was very loud and would improve the atmosphere if was turned to a...lower volume. We were brought water and bread - which were added on the bill at the end for a price of 5€ in total. I had the sea bass which was so tasty and the other two had lamb which were also good, the chips were nice. We arrived about evening time during sunset and was a shame there was a building blocking the actual sun setting. Friendly waiters and good atmosphere, would recommend for a special dinner.More
