Took a bit to find it. Pretty simple small restaurant. But the service was friendly, the salad yummy and both pastas...the Calabrese and the Carbonara...were made with fresh pasta and quite good. Not fancy but worth a visit...
Really enjoyed our visit to Brigante this evening. The food was lovely, great flavours and very tasty! Staff were lovely and friendly, and attentive without being intrusive.
I will definately visit again on my next trip to Athens.
we chose this place due to reviews. obviously prior visitors had better luck. staff was barely alive and even though the restaurant was practically empty i've seen happier faces on death row inmates. my pasta, aglio & olio was not edible. true, i read all...More
The restaurant looks like, well it doesn't really makes you want to come and have dinner. Despite this (mostly Tripadvisor) we went in anyways. The service was horrible to say and the food was mediocre at best. Really disappointing experience after all the good comments....More

Amazing Italian food with the most fresh ingredients. Caesar salad was big enough for all 4 of us to share with the best parmesan slices. Pizza was really good, and the pasta was very rich and delicious. Huge portions here and the complimentary crusty bread...More
Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament building on its upper side and surrounded by other large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents,
bookshops and fashion shops, especially on Ermou Street. Just south of Syntagma Square, you can take a breather in the lush National Gardens, which extend into the grounds of the Zappeio palace and beyond to the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.
