The owners and entire staff of this lovely wine bar really get it. They engage you with great insights on wine and cheese, but give you plenty of opportunity to carve our your own experience. We were educated a bit on Greek wines and definitely...More

We had our last Athens meal here. The smoked trout and Truffled Fava puree were awesome. The buffalo kebabs were very good. The sommelier helped us pair several white and red Greek wines with our meal. A little spendier than a Taverna perhaps, but well...More

Perfect ambiente to enjoy delicious food and good wine. The menu card is not overloaded and makes the perfect match to the wine. Tip: try the cheese!

Vintage is the best wine bar I've been to in any city or country. There are a TON of amazing wines to try. They apparently have the biggest by-the-glass selection in the world (seriously, it's like maybe over a hundred). The sommelier is super nice...More

First of all our waitress was the nicest person in the whole world! The wine was great and we got this pear and cheese thing on pita and it was seriously the best thing I’ve ever put in my mouth.

You will be welcomed by a very good team, sympathic with smile and who doesn’t hesitate to give you some advice about wine and food. A sommelier is present and can describe the wine you taste. The place is really quiet, cosy and the atmosphere...More

It looks like a little wine shop and taverna from the outside, but was chic on the inside. A wine steward guides one through the possibilities. The small plates concept is a wonderful relief from the typical Plaka souvlaki cafes. We enjoyed a pear, honey...More

This wine bar and bistro stands out from others. The venue is located just outside of one of the larger shopping street in Plaka, ( about 10min walk from Acropolis hill and museum). There is an excellent selection of wine, and tapas style plates (...More

Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains
the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay
and play. Its attractive features include small
squares, some notable museums and the beautiful
Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to
stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a
pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious
traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a

Vintage is a bistro style wine bar owned and operated by restaurateurs Iza & Panos Kyriazis who wanted to recreate a classic bistro in the heart of historical Athens with wide range of wines both from Greek and international vineyards. Quality ingredients cooked simply & healthy Our lunch and dinner menu is made up of casual bistro dishes including variety of grilled meats, sourced daily fish & sea food yet salads & appetizers. Some of the Greek tastes Iza has brought up to date, while some of international classic dishes remain true to their origins. There is also separate cheese & fine cut list presenting produce from Greece, France, Italy, Spain and many other countries. Vintage’s philosophy has always been to support wines with good food. Wines treated respectfully Central part of the interior at main floor takes walk-in wine cellar with controlled temperature & humidity. Thanks to that and also our second cellar on the 1st floor, all wines are stored and aged in ideal conditions. Our wines are always served according to their characteristics. We use different glasses for different wines and care for serving temperature as this allows to enjoy full aroma of wine. Vintage’s wine list consists of over 600 labels from Greek & international vineyards. Thanks to Coravin (technology allowing to pour wine without removing the cork) nearly all wines – including fine wines – are served per glass. Currently our by the glass list is the largest worldwide and holds more than 540 labels. We pour 150ml or 75ml glasses. Many of the wines are poured from magnums. These magnums are not only fabulous to look at, but in some cases the wine ages better. There is also a selection of fine wines available both per bottle or per glass.
