Having failed to get a table at a restaurant recommended to us, we did a quick Google and tried this place nearby. What a find! It's a deli during the day and the smell of fresh and smoked meat pervades the atmosphere, then becomes a...fully fledged taverna with a great atmosphere at night. Judging by the name it's a Greek/Turkish fusion but with no kebabs in sight, and the food was great and very reasonably priced. The friendly and patient staff completed a really fun experience. We stumbled upon this taverna within 3 hours of arriving in Athens, but I suspect we'll be back before heading home.More

A visit here is a must for anyone wanting delicious authentic Greek food. We visited in February and had to wait 5 mins for a table so in the height of summer you may need to book.

My number one top favorite of 100% local and authentic Greek cuisine in Athens! Every dish is very unique and created with love, you can taste it! The Grape leaves, saladas, Mandi and the cured meats are out of this world! They also offer this...very special yogurt with prepared pineapple... I will continue to dream of this establishment when I can't visit in person!More

Came here for dinner after being recommended. We arrived with no reservation and luckily there was a table left for us, after that the queue for a table was lining the streets outside! Would recommend booking before turning up. The restaurant felt cramped with tables...being so close to one another, the tables were also very narrow and a little uncomfortable to sit at. The staff were a mixed bag, some were attentive, others were quite abrupt. The food was AMAZING and I can see why this place is so popular. We shared the vine leaves to start which were great. I had the chicken shish kebab and my husband had the moussaka which he said was the best he had ever tasted! Would recommend this place for the quality of the food, just don’t expect to have the most relaxing meal.More

We had dinner on our last night in Athens here and it was a treat. It’s more Turkish-Greek than full Greek, and that meant we had the best kunafe here. The mixed meat plate was huge and a very big portion. The baked eggs in...tomato sauce were flavorful and so well spiced. Service was very attentive the entire meal. I would highly recommend making reservations if you plan on coming here because they were packed even at 10pm.More

We loved our late lunch on our first day in Athens at this delightful, delicious deli–taverna near the Central Market: Great atmosphere, out-of-this-world food, and Greek craft beer that went far beyond the common choices. With the help of our friendly server, we focused on...traditional Karamanli specialties – including “Mommy’s handmade stuffed vine leaves,” “Daddy’s marinated little anchovies,” and fried pies filled with pastirma (seasoned air-dried beef) – and everything rated a big yummmm. Afterwards, our server was also happy to answer this curious cook’s questions about ingredients in the various dishes. Wish we’d had more time in Athens to return for a second lunch here.More

There is more than one restaurant - a small chain. A nice welcome, more tables in the back and a good mix of people. The food was fine, faster service than most places we visited. Greek a little sharp but OK. I feel we didn't...choose enough fresh (e.g. salad) food. Seemed a little fried. I found the beef with potato a little salty. No pushing bottled water here (extra points for not being greedy) Definitely worth a visit.More

I visit this place on Tuesday and there was 3 couples waiting !! that was a sign that something well is happening there. When you enter you face a Market store selling Greek delicatessen. From all the area is hanging salami and pastourmas. Warm and cozy...environment for couples and companies. There is a small corridor for outdoor sitting whitch is heated in the winter. About the food hmm!!!. All of their products was from Greek farms only. They have plenty warm and cold appetizers but not main dishes and there is lack of meat as the most of the mains have salami pastourma sussages eggs. They make an excellent exceptional saganaki whitch has very rich flavor and is very soft and is perfect for dipping(bread). They have a big variety of beers all from Greece from microbreweries as long as wine and many kinds of tsipouro. Very nice yoghurt with carrot sweat at the end.More

Found this place by accident, and was not disappointed. The food was fantastic, we shared a charcuterie board and saw the meat from the butchers fridge being freshly sliced in front of us. Lovely choice of mains, all full of flavour and authentic charm. The...staff were all so helpful and there was a real air of joy in the restaurant. Could not recommend more highly - you have to go!More
