Welcome to "lostre kouzina",a greek traditional restaurant located in a quite neighbourhood outside the tourist scene. The fastest way to get here is by getting off at the "Agios Ioannis"metro station(Pytheou exit) and taking a five minute walk, down the Pytheou Str. In our last evening after 5 days Athens, we ate at this very nice restaurant. We tried a few days before without reservation, but it was already full.
The food was delicious and typical Greek and the service was very good. Our daughter of 7 years old fell asleep on the table and the guy who served us was so nice and he made a package with her food to take home. Then he offered us a delicious desert!! Thank you, we will come back for sure

After two years of not visiting Greece, we had the pleasure to cross roads with the friendly waiter Marius, who suggested every great dish we ate at this restaurant. The atmosphere was friendly and warm and expressed the best of greek hospitality. The cherry on the top was the meli raki and the chocolate cake with icecream. We will definitely come back

The place is very nice, it is located in a quite street. The waitress was friendly and attentive, they even gave us a little ice cream dessert on the house. We had a salad, grilled mushrooms and a local meal with beef, everything was absolutely delicious and the portions are not small. We definitely recommend this place.

My wife and I had a lovely date night~ the grilled veggies were delicious for appetizers and veal steak and turkey burger was done well with good pairings of fries and wild rice. The Christmas decorations and intimate setting provided a perfect place to reset a bit and talk about meaningful things together. As an added surprise, desert was given in the house and topped the excellent night off!

This restaurant is a bit off the path but very easy to find, and definitely worth a stop.
This is a restaurant where you can enjoy how ancient Greek elites ate, without the price.
It's a small place, so you may want to reserve.
The menu is simple and traditional, but done elegantly and very delicious.
I enjoyed the potato and sausage salad (it's a warm salad) and the grilled pork chunks and veggies.
Very decent portions.
The service is amazing.
Prices are good.
Local lager on tap.
English spoken.
All mandatory COVID requirements in place.

Lots of food for hungry persons. Smoky sausages, nice meat and tsatsiki and fried zucchini sticks and perfectly warm pitas and bread. We loved it alot! To my judgement the price was too low: I simply added a big tip.

It is located about a 15-minute walk from Athens Signature hotel. We liked that mainly locals came. Plenty of space outside on the street, located in a pedestrian area opposite the park. Very tasty food with a reasonable choice of Greek dishes. Main courses between 10 and 15 euros, starters between 5 and 10 (especially the fried mushrooms are very special). House wine cheap, and reasonable.

Our Airbnb host made us aware of this restaurant that we probably would not have found otherwise. We shared a greek salad to start our meal. We asked if the salad was big, which was confirmed. Therefore we shared the salad. It was a very good salad that we ended up completely eating even though it was a lot. As a mains we got chicken breast and beef with potatoes and feta. The chicken breast was good. The beef was worth mentioning. It was amazing!
The food arrived pretty quickly. Once we completed, it did take us a while to get attention of the waiters. They may have wanted to give us our space.

Felt as an invited guest when we arrived.
Atmosphere was nice. Salads were lovely.
I would have loved to have come with a big group to try many of the menu items. Everything that came out looked delicious and well prepared. My husband ordered the chicken filet which was a large portion and well seasoned and juicy. The wine list was limited and my house wine was just OK. Before leaving we were treated to a house dessert that was delicious and a nice surprise. It was a custard with a carmel topping.

Our hotel receptionist recommended this restaurant and we’re so glad we checked it out. It’s a gorgeous place and the food was absolutely incredible! The lady who served us made some recommendations and we absolutely loved our food. The service was warm and friendly. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back!

As a family of four we went here and were extremely happy with our evening. The place is nice, the staff is really, really helpful and their food recommendations were perfect. They helped the Vegetarians in our family to find something which turned out to be also very nice. It was the best restaurant experience we had in Athens and would have come back if we hadn’t left the next day. Highly recommended.

We were told about this wonderful restaurant from the owner of the air bnb we stayed at. We were only in Athens 2 nights. We went to this place both times! The server was so helpful and introduced us to Raki! I highly recommend this place if you ever are in that area of Athens. You will not be dissapointed!

We had dinner outside on a warm summer evening. Food was amazing. The grilled mushrooms were excellent!
Everything was fresh and it was good value. Most of the clients were locals which is always a very good sign!
Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Would definately recommend!
I also particularly appreciated not being asked for a tip and very happy to leave a generous one!

Terrific recommendation from hotel staff. Local restaurant with great staff and a fine menu to choose from. Good value and great food. Locals eat here! Better than being treated badly at the tourist restaurants nearby!

A highly recommendable tavern, especially frequented by locals (NOT the typical tourist place). Delicious, authentic Greek cuisine, friendly and helpful service, very pleasant location, full in real life. For what is offered, the prices are more than reasonable. We will definitely come back.
