We are so glad we happened to walk by this place! The donuts were made fresh and the staff was very helpful in giving us recommendations! We had donuts filled with milk chocolate and covered in white chocolate. Was warm and gooey and amazing!! Don't miss this place!

You can get doughnut balls with toppings and/or fillings and they have vegan options like dark chocolate, agave, and apple filling. Went there twice during my stay, very tasty!

My wife and I went to Lukumades after dinner one night during our stay in Athens. It was across the street from our hotel and had wonderful reviews. It was packed when we went so we know they must be good. We both got the dough balls with agave and cinnamon and they were so good. They came out warm... More

Fried dough balls topped or filled with various fillings you can choose from. Its a local delicacy and its a must try. Its a bit heavy and difficult for one person to finish it. The pistachio ice cream is really good and its a must try.

Lukumades are delicious fried orbs. Here they have different variations with their stuffings and toppings. Some of the combinations can be a bit much, but these are freshly made and creative. We were here in December and the mulled wine went well with them!

I need to say that I had better ones in Greece. This place is a little bit touristic. But their lukumades with filling are definitely better than their classics.

Fried flour balls topped or filled with everything that the Greek tradition can offer from honey to chocolate. A bit on the heavy side, nonetheless good and prepared at the moment. Nice staff and one of the best coffees around

Maria and Panos who work here are so sweet and friendly. They let me taste a flavour free of charge because I wasn't sure I would like it. The dohnut balls filled with chocolate and smothered in more chocolate are scrumptious and brilliant for sharing...make sure you are up for something rich when you go though.

Description
Why we are always ending up complicated things ? Having this in mind, we decided to create a simple yet modern space offering the all-time classic and beloved round and crisp lukumades with honey and cinnamon. The original lukumades which we all know since kids are being made in an open-kitchen, freshly-fried in front of your eyes and being served in the perfect warming temperature. Our recipe is old, simple, traditional and above all perfectly executed. In order to satisfy even the most demanding lukumades lovers, we started thinking of more mixing options so... We fiilled them with a unique "injection" procedure, we put ice cream on the side...and many other different and delicious toppings... We present them to you filled with chocolate praline, lemon and mastiha cream, with vanilla-honey ice cream & caramelized almonds, kazan dipi ice cream for more oriental memories or deeped in hot chocolate praline. Come over to taste our lukumades and discover your favorite combination !

Staying in Plaka

Neighborhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
