Excellent, genuine, traditional Greek food served in a tardis-like restaurant in the old area of Athens. Very charming staff in a family run restaurant. The food is excellent and not expensive and there are daily specials- had the goat soup which was delicious. Live music...and the restaurant was filled with Greeks. We were the only touristsMore

Good first impression, especially the decor! Nice place for insta-photos. Service was professional, value-quality was pretty good for tavern in the central location. Menu selection decent, the specialty salad was good, pastourma and cheese pies good we ordered 2nd portion, grilled mushrooms with a nice...'toasty flavor', sausages, bougiourdi, zuchini fries, dip and meatballs seemed to be popular and were satisfactory. It would have been a nice touch if we were offered a sweet, which is usually customary in local Greek taverns. We ordered 6 desserts (35euro) and bread was charged ** I had made my reservation via Facebook. The download menu on Facebook states free homemade bread and sweet on the house, that needs to be updated if its not applicableMore

By far the best and most enjoyable restaurant we visited in Athens. Live rebetico/liko. Grandma meatballs and Armenian kebab the best I had in my life. Friendly hosting. The best evening we had in Athens in our 9 day stay.

Hopped in on a Sunday afternoon and took the Armenian kebab with a beer for 11€. Small desert was on the house. Service is great and fast. The restaurant has a lot of charm.

There was a restaurant next door with 3000+ TripAdvisor reviews that we intended on going to, but the line was too long so we stopped here and we were SOO glad we did!!! My boyfriend and I weren’t expecting to love it as much as...we did as we were looking for more of what we were familiar with. We started with the baked feta appetizer (with tomato and pepper) and it was AMAZING. Then we ordered the pan fried chicken with peppers, onion, paprika (served on fries) and this was unexpectedly one of the best things I’ve ever had. It’s hard to put into words all of the flavors. We also ordered the kebab, which was phenomenal as well. The portions were really big and it was super cheap. We were expecting smaller portions based on the price. So MUCH FLAVOR! We went on a Saturday night and there was no wait. There should be a wait, this is that good!!!More

We had such a nice evening here for our last Greek dinner of our vacation. It was very bittersweet. When we arrived we found the restaurant nearly empty, and were surprised by this as they have excellent reviews. Maybe it was simply the day we...visited, however, we didnt mind as it allowed us to have a quiet and private meal. As we often did in Greece, we over-the of course. Oh well! The food was absolutely delicious. We had to have Tzatziki again for our last meal. It was fresh and lemony. We also ordered the Fried Courgettes with a crispy coating, the Tangy Bouyiourdi (baked feta with tomato, peppers, and chilli flakes), fried cod with garlic dip, and had "fresh cut homemade chips" as well. The "homemade chips" I must say, could not have been home made, so that was a bit of a disappointment as they seemed to be shoestring fries from a bag. Everything else was very good. We were not a fan of the garlic dip with the cod, but the cod itself was cooked well and the cheese dip was great with a spicy kick to it. We left feeling full and satisfied. Too full for dessert, but of course in traditional Greek fashion, they provided little lemon cakes for dessert after the meal. So very good! Our service also was very good. Our waiter was efficient and very quick to bring out all of our dishes. He kept our water full and gave us privacy while we ate. The backroom where we ate opened to a very pretty patio area that we took lovely pictures of. We really liked the rustic, yet "grandma's house type feel" of the place. It was very welcoming!More

Had lunch there for the second time. Very good service and outstanding food. Greek with Midle Eastern influence. Terrific "Bakaliaro and Skordalia" and perhaps the best "fava" I ever had. Unfortunately, this summer they had a limited menu; they stopped cooking casseroles (mageirefta) as they...are not very popular in the warm months - this why 4 rather than 5 stars.More
