We had a fun evening tsting wine and eating a delicious meal. Our server, Dimitris did a wonderful job recommending wines by the glass.

We stopped by this wine bar as part of a wine tour and it was a stand out. The wine selection is impressive and the staff friendly with some great recommendations! The atmosphere is very relaxed with a trendy ambience. Thank you!

We have been here twice - the first time the service was excellent, the second time too intrusive - this is something people usually don't like. The food is delicious, the wine too, but we realised that they are trying to sell the expensive wines...... not very appealing...More

Fantastic spot near all the local attractions but off the busy path. Service was great and it was very relaxing after a busy day. Would highly recommend.

Excellent service combined with amazing cuisine and wine. Although it is in the center of Athens, we enjoyed a wonderful and relaxing Sunday lunch.

The bar is amazing. The food as well. The service and especially the hostess was impolite and didn’t meet the standards of the bar.

The manager was rude and condescending like she was a master of good wine and we were illiterate.the meat at premium prices came cold and they forgot the meal of one person .the food came out in 3 rounds so we all ate at different...times.The waiters were also rude and service was poor.I think that it was good in the past bit now its just an overpriced place with attitude &the food is not worth its price, nor is the experience. Was a big mistake to arrange a business dinner at this restaurant as it was embarrassing and no one enjoyed their meal nor the environment with the manager&rude staff.More

Upon arriving at the wine bar a couple of days ago, we explicitly informed the staff that our intention was solely to enjoy a selection of wines and not to order any food. Despite their initial assurance that this was acceptable, we were surprised and...disappointed when, upon sitting down, the staff attempted to persuade us to order food. When we reiterated our preference for wine only, we sensed a noticeable level of annoyance from the staff, which was both unexpected and unwarranted. The whole experience was so disappointing that we drunk our wine very quickly and left.More

No value for money. Food was not special. Breadbasket without butter. We had to ask for it. We had higher expectations. Interesting wine list.

Been twice in the last month. Both times we went this month the wine they proposed was excellent. The first time we also had dinner and a plateau of cheese and meat. all of the best quality.

This place is really disappointing. Nice atmosphere; nice wine bar, but the food and service were a major problem. The hostess was very nice to start, though seemed unhappy that we didn’t want to sit down for our reservation right away…we came a half hour...early to try the wine bar; we got over that, then got seated. Things were quiet. She pushed us hard to order; we ordered a bottle of Greek wine and said we would order as soon as it came. We were given a printed menu and immediately told that they did not have the last two appetizers or last two entrees; both of which were singificantly limited from what we read about on the website. We waited, and waited; more people started showing up. We finally got our wine and ordered our food. The meat charcuterie was very good. Then we waited, and waited for our entrees….more people came in and the place got pretty busy; like three/quarter full. The problem: the hostess was the only hostess, and the hostess was the only waitress….who was cooking? Hopefully not her too. So she was overwhelmed. When our food came, it was warm. The truffle risotto was flavorless mush. So was that a one-night problem…with the “we’re out of this, we’re out of that, etc etc.”. Disappointing to say the least. So all that we’re in Gault-Millau sounds nice; with the nice website menu, but the reality is quite different in our experience. We’ll pass.More

Make sure to thoroughly check the bill (even if the waiter is trying to distract you from doing so). We got scammed, probably because we were tourists. Such a shame considering it's such a high-class restaurant.

Amazing spot to have a nice lunch and a glass a fine wine. The food was exceptional. I had the sea bass ceviche which was so delicious and the serving size was generous. It’s a great place to partake in a very expensive wine that...you always wanted to try but couldn’t afford. The thing I liked the best was the service. The manager, Luccia who was very pleasant and friendly although she was extremely busy , waiting on both outside and inside tables. What a gem she is! I hope the owner realizes this. If ever in Athena’s again , I will definitely return.More
