I googled restaurants near our hotel and found several. By luck, we opted to try To Trikylo The route we had to take took us up a very steep hill (not uncommon in Athens) to a residential neighborhood across from a park. We arrived early evening on Sunday. The menu is extensive and it took time to decide on the... More

We stopped by for a late lunch today. The place was deserted but we were seated by a gracious hostess who was so pleasant. We just wanted a light lunch so we shared an app and a great starter of lamb kabobs with cumin sauce. The lamb was perfectly moist, tender and flavorful. A perfect light lunch with the local... Attentive service and delicious food. Order as little or as much as you want and they dealt with my allergies without question. Thoroughly recommended for an unhurried meal that left us both sated but not stuffed.

This quaint restaurant is in a residential and almost hidden alley, in an environment with few tourists and a lot of tradition. Both the food and the service does not fall short. Ask the fried feta cheese with honey and eggplant gratin with tomatoes and spices, the best dishes we experienced on the trip. Also, try the pasta with seafood... More

We visited To Trikyklo on our first day in athens to get an authentic Greek food experience. It is on a quite street away from the tourist. We went there around 5pm on a Sunday so the place wasn't buzzing. They give you this yummy brownie with sugar at the end of our meal...you must try it...it was made of... More

We were staying near the Acropolis and didn't want to have any of the dishes the restaurants near there generally give tourists. This was about a 15 minute walk from the Acropolis. We walked there and got caught in the rain but it was worth it! The service here was amazing. The waiter even told us that tipping in Greece... More

The place is located in a community type location... Everyone from the neighbourhood is about sitting talking eating. ..kids running about an original feeling of a community . It has A vibrant atmosphere that depicts Athens. The food is simple and tasteful The service was just as uncluttered and basic. Prices are honest and reasonable. A good place to have... More

We were so impressed by the food, service, and atmosphere of this restaurant! The staff was extremely helpful, the food was excellent and inexpensive, and we didn't hear anyone else speaking English. Would definitely return if we are ever in Athens again! Must order- manouri cheese. So. Good.

We used Google map to search for dinner near the accomodation just before we left Greece. Honesty, we didn't expect much for this place while we look around. It was a late evening and not too many people there, and we were treated by a nice gentleman , giving us great suggestions and even offer us with free dessert. He... More

- "To Trikyklo" (tricycle) is a cafeteria- tavern- bar, located next to the park of the Lambrakis hill, at the pedestrian of Pytheou str., in a renovated two-floor stone building of 1931, with its own yard and tables outside, on the pedestrian street in the summer. We are located very close to the Acropolis Museum and the Temple of Zeus. Although outside the tourist area of downtown Athens, we are very close to it on foot. The menu consists of authentic Greek and Mediterranean recipes, prepared with love and creativity. --All Greek (and other) spirits served, are carefully selected!
