Got tired of Greek food after a couple of weeks...needed a spicy kick in the butt. This was just what the doctor ordered. Great curry, butter chicken, and nan. Quite spicy. Not much of an ambience but just good food.

On our last day at Athens, we discovered this place and were very happy. We walked for about 5-7 minutes from Plaka, and found ourselves in an Asian food area. I liked the ambience of the place - we sat outside, and ordered basmati rice, dal tadka, chicken curry, and everything was nice. They also served red and white wine.... More

Good food, good service. Nothing extraordinary, but if you're looking for good-quality Indian food in the center of Athens, it's the right place for you!

We found it walking. The food was very good, but it took a while to serve it. The ambience wasn't the best. We would come back but not for special ocassion.

Food is very average . Service is just about okay . But it's not authentic as the chef is not from India . And the Preparation is also not good and very oily .

The boyfriend's favourite food is Indian so we have been to numerous Indian restaurants over the years and this is one of the best meals we've had. We had the onion bhajis as a starter and it was that good we ordered another one. For mains we had mattar paneer, dal makhani (my personal favourite) and chana masala with pilau... More

Excellent Nans and butter chicken. We tried various dishes and all were delicious. Very helpful waitresses who helped us to give a few phone calls.

What a pity. The indian cook has prepared Prawns Vindallo in a hot and very spicy way. This was done without any complaints. Of course for most guests it will be too hot and too spicey. But the taste of the prawns itself was a nightmare: dry that I never have had before. Some few bottles of wines are available.... More

We came based on TA comments and weren't disappointed. The food here is more authentic, then in the most european cities. Thanks.

This restaurant is just a block away from Central Hotel. As you enter, you can see the chefs preparing the food. You can choose how spicy you like your meal. We ordered vegetable curry, lamb curry and prawn masala with naan and rice.Very reasonable price . Not much wine selection.

Staying in Plaka

Neighborhood Profile
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
