Holidaying in Athens, wanted a Kosher meal, and reading reviews chose to go here. We were very disappointed There were 4 of us. Chose the mixed hot meter for a starter, which is a choice of 4 of 5 hot starters. They serve you three...portions of each. Before we had finished the starters, they brought the mains out. So the mains were taken back. When we were ready for the mains, the Mousaka was cold, so these were then microwaved. The other mains weren't served together. The one was served and there was a long wait before the other was served. Of course the Mousakas weren't served together as there must only be one microwave. The baklava was also very disappointing, we know baklava to be dripping with honey. These were dry, there wasn't a drop of honey left on the plate, and it's debatable if there were any on the baklava. As the only kosher restaurant in Athens, it's a great pity that they don't pay attention to detail, and expect their patrons to put up with whatever they serve! TMore
Gostijo is Kosher and the food is excellent. Well-prepared, fresh and with good presentation. Nice, quiet and caring environment. The service was tip-top.
So delicious. Wonderful to have kosher meat on holiday. Ate spaghetti bolognese, aubergine meat rolls, souvlaki and moussaka. All excellent. Quite expensive
Finally back to traveling and first stop Athens.staff friendly, decor quite simple but comfortable-food excellent and with a few Greek dishes
Already it is a nice surprise to find a kosher restaurant in Athens, what an even better surprise to walk into a clean and somewhat elegant place to sit in. The food is good as is the service.
No. Just no. The hummous was awful and wet. The mains were cold. I read somewhere that their food was cold, I thought that maybe it was just an accident. It’s noisy and there are people just hanging around on the sofa. The whole thing...is just strange and eerie... and to be honest, the restaurants leading up to it are better. Sorry...More
The restaurant is now fully operational after the Greek Lockdown. Having visited Kosher Restaurants in numerous Cities Worldwide, this is one of the best. Menu combines local dishes as well as traditional Israeli dishes. Vegetarians are well catered for. Service was quick, piping hot and...prepared individually. Would highly recommend. Situated behind the Mary Poppins Restaurant. For those who require kosher food to go, there is a small supermarket attached where basics can be purchased. There is also a delightful outdoor courtyard.More
My son and I were in Athens for 5 days and ate at Gostijo every evening. The hostess Ricki is warm and welcoming and the waitstaff was attentive and helpful. The food was delicious and especially welcome after homemade sandwiches for breakfast and lunch. The...onsite grocery store offers kosher cold cuts, hummus and other things that you can't get elsewhere in Athens. All in all, highly recommend!More
The food is good, fresh, and tasty. The menu is a combination of traditional Greek foods and Sephardic foods. The portions were extremely generous, and the service friendly, attentive, but not overbearing. In the winter months, it appears that they only open for dinner.

We sought out this place (still only 15-20 mins walk from Syntagma Square) and were so glad we did. An excellent meal was had in lovely surroundings. Good service from the friendly, muliti-lingual staff. Also a small kosher grocery store on sight. All round a...very good point of our lovely trip to Athens.More
The food was good but the portions are quite small. I asked the waitress about one opf the dishes and she told me that it was large. It was not. The ownder was very friendly and pleasant to talk with. It is the only kosher...food in Athens but honestly, I would not go back because it was not a good value for the money.More
I was here many years ago and the memories I had from have not changed. Great food, great service. The food was fresh, delicious and well priced. Service was quick and friendly.
The food was good both times we visited. One time, we were the only ones there and the food came quickly. The other time it was crowded and lunch took two hours. Fortunately there is a children's play area to distract the kids.
