Most amazing experience. My husband John has been coming to Oroscopo for 50 years. Then when we married 32 years ago we started coming here every year. We are here today June 1, 2023 and Dimitris does his marvelous thing again ! Unbelievable as always! Great service, awesome food and drinks, with convenient parking. We have a home in Athens and we can’t wait every year to come to Oroscopo. I texted Dimitris on Facebook and here we are, amazed. We ate Amazing keftedes, octopus with fava beans, fried mozzarella balls and most amazing carbonara! Well recommend.

The staff was very welcoming and polite. The food was very fresh, I had the salmon and vegetables - and the little extras given to the customer, i.e. olive tapenade, beetroot compound, bread, free small dessert, tiramisu and profiterole and the free small potato and leek soup made us came up. We ate there twice. Maybe it was because of the Corona Virus, but our service was excellent and the prices are reasonable. Please don't miss this place!

I ordered the octopus and polenta. I was going to order an additional plate but the server talked me out of ordering another dish He was right My wife had the lamb which fell off the bone. An excellent bottle of white and a glass of red brought the bill to E60 Most diners ate in the park across the street. We enjoyed the restaurant patio. Walking distance to the Hilton

It was a perfect evening spent here. We ordered sea bass, red ravioli with smoked salmon and shrimps, greek cheese and greek salad - everything was very good. The house wine was quite descent, and in addition we were offered a selection of nice desserts on the house. Staff is very friendly. Recommended!

I went to this restaurant with my Greek girlfriend on the evening of the 26th of February 2022, since she wanted carbonara, so, very impressed by the many (maybe fake or staged) reviews, we decided to give it a shot.
Many people have posted reviews remarking the kindness and politeness of the staff.. I wonder, were they crazy ?
When we entered the place, we were greeted by a grumpy waiter who didn’t even bother to check our green passes..
Nonetheless, the menus came and we took a look at them, and we decided to go for the carbonara as we agreed, and both on the online menu and on the a la carte menu, the carbonara was written to be made with eggs, prosciutto/bacon, Parmesan cheese and pepper, so in the traditional Italian way.
Before we get to the best (or worst ?) part, an another grumpy waiter came literally throwing at us a soup made with vegetables and potatoes, that in Italy we called “minestrone”, funny thing is, in Italy we eat this when we’re feeling sick..
The carbonara arrived, and to our surprise, it was with cream and no eggs whatsoever, the cheese wasn’t Parmesan but Graviera, a Greek cheese, and the pasta was overcooked and slippery.
When the waiter realised something was wrong he kept coming to out table asking if everything was good, and i have a suggestion for you guys.. you are not my Nonna, Grandma or Yiayia, that every 5 seconds asks me if the food is good or not.
So, understanding they messed up, they tried to bring some gifts, among which we could find a Pannacotta that tasted like cinnamon, and bongo/profiterol that had nothing to do with the authentic one.
To wrap all of this up, when we went pay, the waiter asked us once again if everything was alright and he kept making passive aggressive eye contact with my girlfriend.
The only Italian thing, along my person, it was the music.
It’s not worth it, avoid it.
(And no, next time I will be in Athens I won’t be visiting you :). )

My wife and I visited oroscopo tonight and had a wonderful time. Greeted with a smile and some free bread with dips you are instantly set at ease. The surroundings have a good ambience. Not too noisy, not too quiet. Its vibrant yet not over imposing.
My wife ordered the sea bass and I had the seafood risotto. The sea bass was very, very nice, a very good sized fish with lots of flavor and greens as an accompaniment. My risotto was good. It had a very nice flavor without becoming 'samey' which risotto can often be after a few mouthfuls. Lots of shrimp and squid in the risotto which is exactly what you want.
Topped off with a free little desert it was an excellent meal at a very reasonable price. Have to get the recipe for the little strawberry sherbert iced things (our last freebie) they were amazing!

Super easy to book a reservation online. We were welcomed and seated promptly. We were given bread, soup, breaded cheese, sorbet and dessert free of charge! I told them on the phone that it was my anniversary so they designed a dessert congratulating us on that. The staff were lovely and the ambiance was so relaxed. Definitely fine dining at its best. The food was amazing value for money too.

I had a lovely lunch here. The service was second to none, the waiters were attentive and thoughtful, bringing lots of little nibbles and palate cleansers at the meal went on. The food itself was delightful, would definitely recommend the Greek special of beef rib with Gorgonzola and pear risotto.
A great place of a lunch in Athens.

This is one of the best restaurants close the city center, a choice for many locals since early 1980s'. They offer a wide range of greek and international dishes, at reasonable prices. It is a place for families and couples, cosy and friendly. The wine catalogue is also good and offers a range of relatively cheap yet good wines. I think that the 'competitive advantage' of Oroscopos is the service, as they always offer appetizers, deserts, etc. of high quality. Last but not least - it is a place friendly to small kids.

We loved the menu here and the service was truly exceptional, friendly, efficient, generous and caring.
Not including what we ordered, we were served delicious hot crusty bread with couple small dips, small bowl taster of vegetable soup and a couple of delicious taster deserts.
Highlight for us was the amazing starter meatballs with mozzarella and the zucchini. For a main I ordered a pasta (recommended by our waiter), it was not entirely to my taste but I did eat it. Our waiter had noticed that I wasn't enjoying it so much and insisted on taking it off our bill. I am dumbfounded, first time ever. As much as we insisted on paying, he insisted on not. That is how much they want you to be satisfied with their cuisine.
Food is excellent and if I lived in Athens we'd certainly return frequently.
The only negative for us is the restaurant is very bright and a bit soulless, however we were quite early (by Greek standards), so maybe that's why - don't let it put you off!

Our guide in Greece told us that this place is very good. It is better than that! You have the choice of sitting outside, on a covered area or inside. As everywhere in Greece these days, they check your vaccine card before seating y. The waitstaff is multilingual and extremely helpful. We ordered something light, and we’re surprised when they brought us a complimentary small bowl of delicious soup to start. On the house. Our meal was superb, and then they brought a complimentary dessert. Actually, the plate had small portions of two desserts! Everything was delicious. You are not rushed, and have plenty of time to relax and enjoy. Later in our visit to Athen, we went back and said we’d like just a glass of wine and a small cheese plate. Once again we got a complimentary soup to start and dessert to finish. And the cheese plate was so special! There were four pieces of a soft cheese shaped to look like pears and lightly deep fried. Wonderful!
Do not miss this spot!

Offering patio or park-like seatings, Oroscopo not only serves great Greek food, but the service is outstanding. Our server, Aris, was very attentive, making sure our drinking glasses were consistently filled and making excellent dinner recommendations. The two standouts were the lamb dish and red ravioli. The Greek wine pairing with the lamb was spot on. Aris treated us with complimentary desserts and strawberry sorbets, which were fantastic finish to our very enjoyable dinner experience. We highly recommend Oroscopo!

What a wonderful experience. Everything from the food, the service, the venue, the atmosphere was perfect. I am a vegan/ vegetarian and went for the pomegranate salad (best salad Ive had in Athens) and then for the tomato based spaghetti! My boyfriend had the meatballs and the seafood orzo pasta, we loved each dish - large portions. They also gave us bread and dips, soup, non alcoholic beer (they saw we ordered soft drinks) and fruit all for free during our dinner. Such lovely, warm touches. We’d definitely go back, the waiters were very efficient and friendly. Would absolutely recommend this place! Also the food prices are very reasonable. Loved it! Thanks so much!

We returned to Oroscopo after 10 years, and it was just as good as we remembered (or possibly even better!!).
I booked a table in advance, as we were celebrating my wife's birthday, and the restaurant staff really couldn't have been any friendlier.
Our table was ready, and after ordering some wine(the local carafes are great value and very pleasant indeed), we didn't have too long to wait for our starters.
Everything was beautifully presented, and extremely tasty.
We were then brought some soup to keep us entertained whilst waiting for the mains, and every single dish was perfect!
Although we were all quite full by this point, the staff then sang Happy Birthday and brought out a selection of beautiful (and delicious) desserts, on the house ... there were so many cakes that we couldn't even finish them. They also virtually forced us to accept far too many shots of Limoncello and Mastiha liqueurs, which really did round the evening off spectacularly.
I think that the total was about EUR 125 (before tip), which was worth every penny since this was a meal for 5 adults who ate and drank as much as they wanted to!
Fantastic return visit, hopefully it will not be another 10 years until we return to Athens again!

Everything was wonderful, the food was amazing and the service was outstanding. The restaurant offers one entry and some desserts on the house, the food is worth it for his price.
I totally recommend it, if you are in Athens and you want to taste delicious traditional food!
