We returned to Oroscopo after 10 years, and it was just as good as we remembered (or possibly even better!!). I booked a table in advance, as we were celebrating my wife's birthday, and the restaurant staff really couldn't have been any friendlier. Our table...was ready, and after ordering some wine(the local carafes are great value and very pleasant indeed), we didn't have too long to wait for our starters. Everything was beautifully presented, and extremely tasty. We were then brought some soup to keep us entertained whilst waiting for the mains, and every single dish was perfect! Although we were all quite full by this point, the staff then sang Happy Birthday and brought out a selection of beautiful (and delicious) desserts, on the house ... there were so many cakes that we couldn't even finish them. They also virtually forced us to accept far too many shots of Limoncello and Mastiha liqueurs, which really did round the evening off spectacularly. I think that the total was about EUR 125 (before tip), which was worth every penny since this was a meal for 5 adults who ate and drank as much as they wanted to! Fantastic return visit, hopefully it will not be another 10 years until we return to Athens again!More

This place did not disappoint us! The Moussaka we had was one of the best we had. Service was excellent and they were all efficient and friendly. Great for big groups and they can easily accommodate them. Sunday night after 9, they were still busy...with many people coming to enjoy their food. Highly recommended.More

Excellent food, also traditional lamb was simply delicious. Generous portions and small delicious add-ons on the house like water, bread & olive and cheese spreads and deserts. Excellent service and good price for value.

The restaurant was right next to our hotel, so we decided to give it a go for dinner and it was a great choice. Fantastic food, a lot of Italian dishes on the men - which suited us very well, but other dishes are available...too. Everything we ordered - 2 different pasta dishes, Oroscopo salad, seabass, was delicious. Complimentary homemade soup to start and dessert to finish (bear this in mind when ordering). Generous portions. Friendly and efficient service. Sensibly priced too - what else can you wish for!More

One of the best places to eat in Athens. Visited after the National gallery. Has great food, Greek and mediterranean cuisine, and despite being in a very central and busy part of Athens, it is actually in a very calm and classy neighbourhood. Try the...beef tagliata!More

My husband and I went to Oroscopo because it's very close to our hotel! We like to try local food and I definitely recommend Oroscopo! Very nice environment with options inside and outside, relaxing music, friendly staff and the food is excellent! It's a good...price and I particularly loved the wine!More

spacious indoors and outdoors occupying a middle ground between a local trattoria and a stylish gourmet italianate restaurant it offers in the best of terms a family meal, a friendly gathering, not a noisy outlet for the juvenilia. Thus a midway mediterranean assortment and adequately...fine wines and spirits accoutrements. The ingredients show in the preparations and the breads are good! The area is overpopulated with restaurants without having a fine neighborhood character. A hospital, an hotel and a piazza. Some parking difficulty.More

This reasonable size restaurant close to the Divani Caravel hotel will not disappoint. Not only is the quality of the food and service exemplary, so is the price with a three course meal coming in at about €40 per head (Jan 2023) including wine (for...two). Additionally there are complimentary elements to the meal which will delight any diner.More
