8 of us finishing a sailing trip in the saronic islands. We ordered Greek salads, musaka, zucchini, eggplant salad and vine leafs stuffed with rice and meat. All dishes were excellent and we ordered more portions. A lot of bear, good food and good music made our evening as a one to remember We will come back again.

We visited Athens for 3 nights and had dinner at this wonderful restaurant twice. This place offers a vast selection of exquisite Greek food, served by very helpful staff at very very reasonable prices. The best speciality in my opinion is their Moussaka......nowhere in Athens tastes like theirs.

After reading reviews on Trip Advisor we thought we'd give it a try and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious - the veal chop was soooooo good. The staff can't move quick enough to serve you and the restaurant had a lively atmosphere. We liked it so much we went back 2 nights later. Give this a try... More

We went here the first time because of the high trip advisor ratings. When we returned to Athens a week later, we knew we had to go back because we enjoyed it so much. The portions are generous and everything we ordered was so tasty! Kostas served us and made us feel at home, you cant beat that Greek hospitality.... More

The restaurant was very inviting - it is big and crowded but still felt cozy and intimate. We went on a Thursday night after arriving in Athens. There was a band playing that night. The manager went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The food was good. It is located right near the Flea market.

We spent a long time wandering around looking for this place, so by the time we got there, we were highly invested in liking it! We were haphazardly greeted, then offered a table in the deserted upstairs but then changed their mind relocated near the "band" downstairs provided we were quick. Casting our eye around at the raucous tables of... More

Food was really good, big portions and reasonable price. The staff was really helpful and friendly. Mpekri Meze (a pork dish) and the lamb in oven were my favourite. Definitely will come back again when I come back to Athens!

Staying in Monastiraki

Neighborhood Profile
Monastiraki is a souvenir-hunting enclave with a difference. Apart from the dramatic backdrop of the Acropolis, its network of alleys and pedestrianized streets surround the remains of both the Greek and Roman agoras, adding the quaint concept that this is where the ancients also came to shop. Named after the tiny monastery church at its center, Monastiraki Square is a lively spot by day or night, with street peddlers vying for your attention to sell you nuts and sweets. Down beside the metro station, the official Flea Market is an unbroken row of souvenir shops until you come to antique-oriented Platia Avissinias, while Pandrossou Street on the other side of the square offers more tourist shopping. The pedestrianized street beside the Greek Agora is lined with cafés offering fine views.
