Little new fish spot in the centre of Athens. It is difficult to choose between the fish of the day grilled or other sea delicacies, from ceviche to tarter and sushi. Friendly staff and a very cosy ambience. A great experience for all senses!
Ps. They also sell raw fresh fish to customers, or they can cook it for you to take home for a small extra charge per kg. Delivery also available

We have chosen a fish from the counter. The waitress said it was served with vegetables. These were also very good. When we asked to serve the dish also with potatoes, rice, pasta, ... she said this is only possible for other dishes. She proposed potato chips instead, we agreed, but this was a stupid combination. The fish, the vegetables (and the pasta the girl-friend have eaten) were excellent.

We walked by the place returning from an excursion and the fresh fish they had on display caught our attention.
So we decided to have lunch there and it was a splendid experience. The people who attended us were extremely nice and helpful.
For a starter we shared a carpaccio of sea bass - sublime.
Later I had the octopus with some kind of a string bean mash - spectacular, whereas my daughter had a delightful sushi. We were recomended a super white wine to go with the food and had a mango sorbet to finish off the experience
For € 80 you can’t really ask for more - thoroughly pleasant experience.

Prices: reasonable
Food: delicious fish BUT if you order fish from the counter you only get vegetables with it. No pasta, french fries or rice.
Location: feels cheap, not much roam.
Serving: friendly but they wouldnt serve us anything else with the fish except of the dirty chips.

If you are in Athens and like fresh fish, this is definitely the place you’re looking for.
Went to the restaurant with best reviews closest to our hotel on our first night in Athens and SO glad we did. The food is just great with modern twists to dishes like the salmon tartar which is served in black cones and the oysters which comes with four different toppings. Luckily we managed to have dinner there two times during our stay and all of the dishes were great, you can tell that quality of the ingredients are a top priority by just looking inside at the frozen fish display. You can also see when the chefs are preparing your food. The dishes we tried were the oysters, lax tartar, ceviche, carpaccio, fried cod in tempura, salmon with quinoa and spaghetti with salmon.
The staff is really friendly and attentive, and great at recommending which wine that goes best with your food. The waitress even remembered our previous order from a few days before including which wine we had with it. The place is not that big but cosy and has three tables outside which is lovely for a late summer night dinner. Didn’t see any other tourist but it seemed really popular with the locals and from what we could figure out they also do home delivery.

This place is truly exceptional! Would recommend it to anyone visiting Athens. The service was great, the prices are not the cheapest, but the quality of the food is truly worth it. The oysters, which are served with 4 different sauces, were very fresh. The fish options change daily, and there is a daily main course - when we visited, it was octopus which was cooked for 5 hours, which was amazing. As the other main course, we had the salmon filet, which was also very good. A recommendation is the beet root salad - very good mix of tastes.

We had the best experience at the fish market, there were 12 of us and we could all sit together. The staff was incredible (you can watch as the chefs cook the meal!!). We picked out a freshly caught fish for sashimi which was some of the best I’ve had. With appetizers, ample wine, and a meal for each of the 12 of us, the bill came out to only €600!!! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an amazing meal outside of the tourist destinations. Wish I had pictures of everything but I attached my amazing sushi bowl with fresh tuna (only €15!)

We knew of the Fish Market in Athens, Greece, from our daughter in Copenhagen and our son in Hong Kong. So, we drove straight from the airport after flying into Athens from rural Illinois, USA. Jane ordered mullet and risotto, I ordered cuttlefish flavored pasta with fresh salmon. We also had oysters with 4 sauces.
Half way through our meal, with Greek wines chosen by our hosts, we thought we’d made a mistake. The flavors were so intense, and varied, that we couldn’t finish the ample servings. And then we got a second wind. It’s one of the most memorable fish dishes either of us have ever enjoyed.
Make no mistake the fish are incredibly fresh and the chefs are amazingly adept at finding the depth of flavors.
Do like we did: drive straight from the airport to the Fish Market for a stunning meal.

We had the most delicious meal here! The fish was so fresh - you could choose exactly what you wanted from the selection in front of you. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant and really lovely manager who was great at giving menu advice.
Would recommend the gyoza and the tuna tartare for starters!

After having spent a week on an island in the Aegean sea, I had to go to Athens to find the best seafood restaurant to date.
This restaurant is a proper gem, where you get to go to the counter and check what's fresh, the staff is very friendly and the cooking of everything we ordered was spot on.
I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough because it's THE place to have delicious seafood.

The Fish Market has been such a good surprise... a simple dinner before a concert at Megaron last night turned into a special dinning experience !
The place is nice, the fusion seafood extremely fresh, creative and tasty, the service is friendly and the prices reasonable.

An excellent place with variety of fish food and a great choice of starters…. I had as well oysters that were marvelous and a carpaccio of tuna that it was great… in the end I order a risotto that I must admit it was absolutely great… as a dessert is not a great variety but the panacotta was delicious… they have wine on the glass as well that helps a lot…. A great choice for people that love fish food

This was a great meal. The food was fresh and tasty and the staff was attentive.
I would have given them 5 stars but they charged 2 euros for bread we didn’t order but just brought to the table. My husband also asked for a different dipping sauce for his dish but was charged 2 euros for it!

Athena wouldn't be the same without a trip to Fish Market. This was one of our favourite restaurants, were we took contact with really great seafood. I can say that it was the best sushi I ate. The personal is very nice and high trained! When we entered the local, we had our doubts that is a good place for an infant. We were wrong and our baby doughter enjoyed all her food. 5 stars from us!

This was the nicest meal and restaurant experience for our group of 3 couples in Athens. The Fish Market is a small, family-feel restaurant serving really fresh seafood, and the service level is wonderful. The proprietor obviously loves what he does, and is so pleased when the customer is happy. What is more, he knows his business and we found his recommendations to be spot-on. The young waitress was a delight, happily engaging with us and answering our queries (I haven’t seen a more friendly smile).
Now, to the food. Firstly the fish soup. Just have it. All six of us started with it and it was so good that we were still discussing it on the way home. For mains we had a whole grilled grouper in the middle of the table, with seasonal vegetables. The amount of fish was just right and it was done to perfection, boned and served with a light dressing. Accompanied by a local white wine, it really was a memorable meal, and the cost very reasonable - under 40 euros each.
