This smallish cozy bar/restaurant in the heart of Athens comes close to being a genuine Parisian bistro. There a just a few tables, decoration always includes fragrant lillies and the crowd is mostly laid-back locals from all age groups. The seasonal menu is quite limited and changes often. Delicious thin and crispy crust pizza is always on offer. The cuisine... More

I recently went for dinner to this cozy and trendy place in the heart of Kolonaki, dowtown Athens. The menu has a wide variety of international dishes combining greek specialities, italian style pasta, pizzas and risottos (try the beetroot risotto, totally delicious!) and great quality of angus steaks. The cocktails are amazing too, don't miss the "mango tini", the best... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here - great food, good prices, and friendly service. We had an excellent chicken salad and a thin crust pizza, as well as a delicious chocolate cake, which they gave to us on the house! The romance-themed decor was cute and original and the service was fast. It was pretty empty, but we went at... More

Café Boheme was one of Fodor's top picks, so I was anxious to try it; the food choices sounded good so my wife and I walked over to the Kolonaki district and were delighted to find the place. Here is where expectations and reality collided. I don't know what some reviewers found "cozy" or "laid back" about this place. We... More

We had a good thin pan pizza with truffle and another with rocket and a couple of beers almost EUR40 including the bread and water. It's a good atmosphere and the service was fine. The price in my opinion was fair to expensive. But beware smoking allowed inside and everywhere so budget for a dry cleaners bill the next day... More

If you are in the center of Athens this gem is one of the best places to go. I have visited Cafe Boheme to many times the past years, and always I was very pleased. You can go there for a coffe break, lunch, dinner or just for a drink. It serves a typical bistrot menu, but you can find... More

It would not have been easy to find Cafe Boheme if we were not told about it. It is lying in one of the side-roads a bit further down from Kolonaki square. The place is small but it is extremely welcoming and cozy. As for the food is a joy. Worth visiting it after a shopping or sightseeing expedition in... More

Cosy restaurant-bar, situated in the exclusive Kolonaki district and offering superb quality seasonal Mediterranean cuisine, seafood, regional Greek wines, cocktails, great music and atmosphere...Open all day for lunch, coffee and drinks. Evening time, the kitchen is open until 1am and the lively bar is serving until 3am.This is a local hang out and everyday lunch place for business professionals and Kolonaki residents. The night time, a rather Bohemian crowd tends to collect, from actors, journalists, bankers, lawyers, to DJs, other bar owners and general bon vivant types around town!! Boheme is one of the trendier establishments to visit today...

Staying in Syntagma

Neighborhood Profile
Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament building on its upper side and surrounded by other large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents, bookshops and fashion shops, especially on Ermou Street. Just south of Syntagma Square, you can take a breather in the lush National Gardens, which extend into the grounds of the Zappeio palace and beyond to the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.
