We visited this Michelin Star restaurant on a recommendation from a fellow traveler and we feel so lucky to have experienced this amazing restaurant! We had reservations for 7:30p, which is early for Greek diners so we had the whole place to ourselves! Each course...was more amazing than the next and the service was impeccable. We chose to do the tasting menu and highly recommend this. The location is off the beaten path a bit but that added to the charm. Highly recommend!More

I wanted a special meal to culminate our trip to Greece and that is what we received at Alficon. We reserved through Open Table and we let them know that we celebrating my daughter’s university graduation. As we arrived, we were promptly seated at an...outside table and given a celebratory glass of sparkling wine. We indulged in the tasting menu with wine pairings. Every morsel was a treat, but our favorite was the Marinated Fish with Strawberries. So yummy! By the time we finished our meal I felt like I could not eat another bite. I highly recommend this restaurant for a special meal in a relaxed and convivial environment.More

This place is simply amazing! Not only was the food absolutely delicious and served beautifully, but the staff were really friendly and fantastic too. Yes, it's a little expensive but it was worth every penny. We are vegetarian, and although there wasn't many options for...us on the menu the staff made us our own unique vegetarian versions of the dishes we wanted to try. The wine was bloody AMAZING- literally the best wine we have ever had. We ate at lots of 'fancy' restaurants that more more expensive than Alficon whilst visiting Athens & Santorini, but this easily takes the cake. A lot of the other posh restaurants felt snooty, but the staff here were chatty and lovely. We felt relaxed and comfortable. I read a few negative reviews before our visit and was unsure what to expect, however I can't fault this restaurant at all, it was perfect.More

Second time to this amazing fine dining cosy restaurant to taste the new winter menu. We were amazed with the new dishes, for the creative recipes and how well they are cooked! The new menu has fish and meat choices, we chose the meat course...and totally loved it! The dessert in the end was fantastic!! Service and stuff as always was great! If you are in Athens and like fine dining, this place is totally recommended and proves why it is in 2020's Michelin list!! 6 stars experience!! tip: reservation for table is recommended.More

After reading so many 'mindblowing' reviews about this restaurant, one simply cannot skip the opportunity to visit such claimed place. The location of the restaurant is beautiful and hidden in a narrow pedestrian street, setting the tone for what's going to happen next. The menu...sounded exciting and we went for the tasting without the option for a wine pairing, not sure if there was or simply did not get offered one. The plates are ambitious but not all of them delivered on the promise, such as the 'tomato strawberry' (tomato overall) or the sort of ceviche. Do not get me wrong, the plates are a piece of art but on the tasting note, most of them lacked that punch of flavour or balance. So when you aim for the top both in terms of taste and price, the results need to deliver, which in my case did not. Thank you for the lovely evening team!More

So, I'm a big foodie, and I love to travel. I rarely write reviews, because most of the time the restaurants I'm going to are so well reviewed I feel they don't need it. As well reviewed as this place is though, I do not...believe it's getting the attention it deserves. I feel obligated to make sure I do what I can to make sure that places like this survive during this horrible pandemic. Alficon is located in a quiet tucked away little neighborhood in Athens. It's outdoor seating isn't covered which makes me wonder what will happen if it rains, but the food, service and price are well worth the risk. My wife and I ordered 4 dishes to share, the tomato / strawberry, the quail, the chicken and the beef. These dishes were incredibly well put together. Pretty much every single ingrediant in every single dish added something to the dish, pushing it from the ranks of great to sensational. The loan exception was the quail, which quite frankly was awesome enough with the jus and the greek rocket that I don't think it needed the beans (don't think they added anything). I loved the dish though, so that's rather a weak complaint. Everything else food wise was as good as I've had at anybof my favorite restaurants around the world and for a very reasonable price. I'm a wine snob, but I confess to not knowing much of Greek wine. I'm very comfortable ordering French, Spanish, Italian, Portugese, Chilean, Argintinian, American, Hungarian, Austrian or German wine, but my ignorance when it comes to Greek wine was something I was very much looking forward to remedying on this trip. When I told my waiter my preferences, he picked out a wine that impressed the heck out of me. Not everyone can do that. This guy clearly had experience with all the wines he was reccomending, and was able to grasp from my simple description of my tastes what wine would impress me. I've been to a lot more expensive restaurants boasting world class sommeliers, that couldn't do as well. We finished up with a superb chocolate tart. One of the best dinners I've ever had from start to finish. Especially for 120 €. The place deserves a Michelin star at least. Get there before they're awarded one and their prices skyrocket to match the quality of their food. Right now, this place is a steal!More

After the Uber dropped us off at the wrong direction we made it to the place walking. Tiny outdoor tables and and a small menu. We had scallops, feta and watermelon, the beef and orzo. For desert a mousse of roses and some cherry chocolate...tart. All perfectly delicious together with a bottle of Mavroudi wine. The tab was 160 bucks which is perfectly ok for what we ate. Can only recommend a visit to the place.More

Great food and cocktails!!!! Awesome service . Elias is THE BEST!!!!! Although the only waiter around he was quick and very informative. Also Very tasty and light desert and best coffee. For what they offer the prices were reasonable. Very important that there were no...crowds around. It was nice and quite and should stay like that in the long run. I would stop by again and again. They change the menu every 3 months .:) Have fun.More

Good in general but below expectations. From the first plates the strawberry tomato was good and creative. The feta with water melon with neutral taste. From the main plates the goat with aubergines was delicious and highly recommended while the pasta with scampi very average....Limited list of wines. The first etiquette we asked for, was not available.More
