This is not the biggest restaurant in town but it is insanely cozy and with GREAT staff. Owner is very welcoming and friendly!
I liked it very much here. Very good prices and the food is good as well.
Very charming and off the busy...More
I wanted to try the different places I read about, but once I got to Greece, finding streets without hiring a taxi seemed like a monumental task.
As a solo traveler, it's normal to feel uncomfortable being in foreign surroundings no matter how much research...More
Charming host and decent food. Don't come here if you're expecting luxury, but if you want to eat lots and drink lots and have an all round wonderful experience- then visit Aspro Alogo.
For just €27 we had several drinks each (including free licquour) a...More
We arrived in Athens after long flights from the US, looked on Trip Advisor and saw this little gem. I was craving a Greek salad and souvlaki and this restaurant did not disappoint! The owner was so friendly and the food was yummy. We told...More
We are vegetarians and the owner/chef insisted we eat our protein and we had his delicious lentil soup. The Greek salad had the best tomatoes we’ve ever had. With a loaf of bread and his “on the house” dessert, we were happily stuffed, which is...More
It is worhy to spend time to find this little restaurant in the centre of Athens. Why?

Aspro Alogo (the White Horse) was a great find for us. It is not a big touristy place. The owners run this restaurant and make every guest feel special. On Easter I asked if they had any traditional roast lamb and they provided this treat...More
Our family of six were looking to have dinner and it was late. We arrived around 11ish and the owner was extremely welcoming. We had a great time. He was certainly going above and beyond and he said, “I want to make sure you’re happy.”...More
The old saying goes, Never judge a book by its cover. This place is just this. I have not been to Greece for 26 years, so was hanging out for authentic Greek food. Its just 15 meters away from Hotel Central, small taverna, I think...More
Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament building on its upper side and surrounded by other large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents,
bookshops and fashion shops, especially on Ermou Street. Just south of Syntagma Square, you can take a breather in the lush National Gardens, which extend into the grounds of the Zappeio palace and beyond to the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.
