Lovely view - cannot fault it for that. However the service was terrible - understaffed and the staff that were present were, well, not present. Went with a group. 2 of the group do not eat animals/animal produce. They were told there was nothing for...them. In the end they had to order from the kid's menu (pasta and tomato sauce) and make it a large portion. For a restaurant with over 30 main meal options that seeks an international clientele, it was sub-standard.More

Restaurant situated in a beautiful spot with fantastic views of Acropolis & Parthenon. Food was tasty if not a little expensive. But the service was appalling. On arrival we were totally ignored as we waited to be seated. The waiter had a very superior attitude...& was distinctly unhelpful. Refused to allow me to have a side salad with the cheese pie....I must have it on its own or not at all. Made no attempt to try to understand what we were asking, or to explain anything to us. Very disappointed because, given it’s location & aspect, we had high hopes. If you don’t appreciate being spoken down to, then avoid this place!More

This bar & restaurant is in a fabulous location overlooking the Acropolis & Parthenon & this is reflected in it's prices. I enjoyed a lovely smoothie but felt that €9 was quite expensive. My main complaint about this bar & restaurant was that when we...arrived the table had not been cleaned - I had to call the waiter over & ask him to clean it. Any left over food was then wiped off the edge of the table & onto my trousers. I was appalled at this lack of cleanliness in the current situation, all other restaurants & cafes we have visited have made sure that tables were cleaned as soon as they were vacated.More

Went for dinner especially for the location, and it was the best Acropolis view. The place is quite expensive but the food is good, nice wine and service is excellent. I spent a nice time with my husband, looking at the Acropolis. I highly recommend...it.More

Food was excellent (fresh fish, seasoned to perfection, served artistically). Service was superb. It was a perfect evening cap.

Yes, there is a view of the Acropolis, but that's it. To begin with the server took forever to get to us. When he did, he was clueless about the wines and instead of saying that he could find someone to help or that he...was sorry he didn't have an answer, he told us that all the wines would pair wonderfully with all the meal. Once our order was taken our server paid no attention to our table. Our food was served and he never came back to ask if we needed anything or if we were enjoying the meal. Meanwhile, my husband's meal was blah and my meal was terrible so I wanted them to take mine back. We sat, not eating and still the server paid no attention to us. After passing us numerous times to check in on his other tables we finally decided to get up and leave. We had a feeling that our server wouldn't even notice that, which he didn't. We went downstairs to talk to the manager and offer to pay for the appetizer and wine that we had because we weren't about to just stiff them. A good manager would have comped the meal considering how awful it had been, but instead the manager called the waiter down, yelled at him, and then proceeded to defend his menu and tell us that the food was good and we should have liked it. Terrible experience. We were in Athens 3 nights. We didn't want to risk having another bad experience so for the 3rd night we repeated our 1st night's restaurant which was Scala Vinoteca. I'm still dreaming of the dishes that were served there.More

I came here a year ago so maybe they change.d. didnt like how VAT (tax) was not included in menu like in most european places - feels pretty scummy for sure. quality of food was low for the price as well. only redeeming feature is...the acropolis view... but you dont need to eat here for that.More

What a fantastic restaurant. The food was delicious and we had great service. We sat inside as we visited in February but in the summer the outside eating area with the view of the Acropolis looked great. Not expensive and lots of choice. The macarons...were especially good and so was the Greek coffee.More

Named after the well-preserved Thission (ancient
temple of Hephaestus), Thissio is blessed with a small
wooded park and some less frenetic streets that offer
numerous quieter places to stay and eat. Largely
pedestrianized Apostolou Pavlou Street runs between
the Acropolis and forested Filopappou Hill, well worth
climbing for more great panoramas, until it merges
with Dionysiou Areopagitou Street. This leads to the
