Really nice restaurant, rooftop with view to the Akropole Greek food that locals with eat! Yogurt with cucumber and garlic as started, the octopus is good and the cheese with fillo pastery and honey is to cry for more Meat is also really good Enjoy the food and the amazing view! We went during lunch and still impressive

A friend who ate here 5 years ago recommended Strofi and we were not disappointed. We had a perfect evening in May and sat on the open air rooftop level. There is a direct view of the Acropolis. We found the food to be very tasty, fresh and a reasonable price. We had one of their signature dishes which was... More

After reading reviews, I was very excited to go to Strofi. Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience. We were a bit late for our reservation, which the host was quick to point out. This seemed rude and off-putting, especially considering the table was still available so there was no need to be sassy. The open-air third floor has... More

I visited the place on May to celebrate my wife's birthday after getting several recomendations from many friends. Reservation was made through the internet. Yes, the price of food was above average but not too expensive than other. However, everything else was just perfect!!! We sat on 1st floor near the window with excellent view of the acropolis. The service... More

Nothing to say: it's a great restaurant with direct view of the Acropolis, with a very well designed menu and high quality food. Prices are above average than any other restaurant I've been around in Athens, maybe portions could be a bit bigger. Despite this, just a good choice for a formal dinner or with your beloved.

What can I say about Strofi...! It was just mind blowing. Service was great, restaurant is lovely and the views are outstanding. But all that aside, the main reason we fell in love with Strofi was the food... everything we tried was absolutely amazing! Would love to go back if I ever return to Athens. Thanks for an amazing night,... More

We loved this place. It is on the third floor with a great acropolis view. it is a bit smaller and had a nice setting. I had honestly been a bit disappointed with lamb chops throughout Greece, but Strofi finally made this issue go away. The food was great. The service was excellent. The views were top notch. A bit... We arranged a business dinner at this place. Ask for a table with views; views of the Acropolis were amazing, we order starters that were all good, my main course was roasted lamb with rosemary that I really recommend. It was perfectly cooked and incredibly tasty. Deserts were good too. The fantastic views, service and the well cooked lamb lead... More

Highly recommended, we booked for our first night, wanted to sit, have a few appetizers and enjoy the night view of the Acropolis, really worthwhile. we had a table on the terrace, enjoyed the few starters we ordered, a pleasant way to start the holiday.

While the staff, view and general decor were wonderful, we found the food to be a mixed bag- starters were delicious, mains were bland and disappointing, dessert was a bit better....such a pity as I would like to return but for that price I expect better main courses.

Staying in Thissio / Makriyanni

Neighborhood Profile
Thissio / Makriyanni
Named after the well-preserved Thission (ancient temple of Hephaestus), Thissio is blessed with a small wooded park and some less frenetic streets that offer numerous quieter places to stay and eat. Largely pedestrianized Apostolou Pavlou Street runs between the Acropolis and forested Filopappou Hill, well worth climbing for more great panoramas, until it merges with Dionysiou Areopagitou Street. This leads to the up-and-coming area of Makriyanni, whose centerpiece is the magnificent new Acropolis Museum. Opposite the museum is the entrance to the southern slopes of the Acropolis, while the eponymous metro station nearby is at the top of Makriyanni Street, another strip of touristic cafés and restaurants.
