When we were in Sen Monoron we went to the hangout tree times, and all te times we had a great experience with amazing food and people. A friend of us recommended to do a tour with Sam (who works at the hangout), she Said...he was a very funny and a sweet tourguide, and he was! We booked a tour including a hike, a lunch, an elephant experience (including feeding and washing the animals) and a trip to a local village. It was so great, the hike was very beautiful and Sam learnt us a lot of things about the park and showed us beautiful places! The lunch was AMAZING and during the lunch the elephants came and we washed and feed them. The hole day was awsome, and Sam was a very good, sweet and funny man and tourguide! Thank you again for a great experience!!More
Definitely recommended! We spent the better part of a day here. Starting for lunch and ending with dinner. We spent the afternoon relaxing on their long benches and reading our books with some delish fresh fruit smoothies. The staff are awesome and they have free...water refills too! (Try to learn Sam’s handshake! Great guy)More
The Hangout is a great place to eat and drink in Sen Monorom. Good menu of Khmer and western food. Mr Sam is a very welcoming host. He is also a first class tuc tuc driver and informative guide. He took us to Bousra falls...and on the way back stopped at various plantations to explain in good English how peppercorns, cassava, coffee beans and other tropical crops are grown by the local people. Fascinating.More
This is a great place to go for tasty western or local food and a chill with a beer.
Also if you are looking for a wonderful one day tour around Sen Monorom with a local guide ask for Sam (owner’s brother). He would take...you to waterfalls (Bou Sran), swim in the river, coffee farm and explain you how the life is in Mondukiri and tell you a lot about local plants. He speaks great English and is a best tour guide, it was a highlight of our stay, highly recommended!More
