Sugar Club has an excellent & friendly staff. My hubby and I stayed at the Sugar Ridge Resort for 9 days and ate at least one meal (usually breakfast) here daily.
It was absolutely the best & bright way to start the day. The breakfast...menu was quite varied and we even tried some new and different items like the Antiguan breakfast. And, as a sweet touch the breakfast staff treated me with a
complimentary mimosa for my birthday.
We stayed at Sugar Ridge and breakfast at Sugar Club was included in the package. Breakfast was good, although they definitely had issues with my gluten free diet. We had lunch a couple of times and the salads were tasty. The best part of Sugar...Club was our server, Carlene.More
We stayed at Sugar Ridge Resort for a week (our 2nd time) and had breakfast included which was very good with lots of options (ex. English breakfast, French Toast, Eggs Benedict, Pumpkin Pancakes, Antiguan eggs, salt fish and okra) individually prepared (not a 'buffet') as...well as continental fare if so desired. The only dinner we had was on Wednesday for steak night (2 for 1). We opted for the Sirloin with the mushroom sauce which was very nicely prepared. This is a good deal and includes twice baked potatoes and grilled vegetables. Wine is reasonable as well at $4.60 per glass for a sauvignon blanc. We shared the marbled cheesecake which was good but more like custard. If you come early get the table by the window and have them put the shade up so you have a view of the pool and mountain with a pleasant breeze. The pianist was fairly good as well, nice and jazzy.More
The General Manager had a rum punch mixer for the guest along with a fashion show and raffle. I won a hat and little booklet about Antigua/Barbuda. It was fun! The GM made sure the guest felt welcomed! :)
