Great food, great service! I already knew Romando Sushi Café but never thought the traditional could be so delicious as the sushi one! Love it 🤤
great meat from south america and excellent fish. The "pataniscas de bacalhau" are the best I've ever had and the wine options are as good as it gets.
This restaurant is not easy to find but it is worth trying. The food is delicious. We had a cheese turnover as appetizer and Argentinian skewers as main. Sides were rice, roasted potatoes, black beans and vegetables. Huge portions; would easily be enough for three...people (maybe four). The waiter gave us good advice regarding the menu but we were upset when he tried to convince us to drink the wine that we had ordered when it turned out to have a damaged cork. We had to be firm and he finally agreed to let us choose another one. Other than this minor incident everything was perfect.More
As always we had a fantastic meal. They made a mistake but more the made up with the food and service
Fabulous belotta Ham carved by the proprietor himself, an array of shellfish including plump prawns to start, and then perfect fish for mains. Stunning wines, the highlight being a 2000 Douro red, where the win waiter used a remarkable instrument to cleanly cut the bottle...below the cork, allowing the wine to be decanted without risk of an ageing cork crumbling into the bottle. Amazing place in a quiet backwater, so worth the trip.More
Hi DickSands, It is a pleasure to receive such a review like yours. We are glad that you have enjoyed your visit and we hope to see you soon again among us. Regrads
We had lunch on Sunday with some friends and were absolutely surprised. Lovely settings, the waiters very attentive and the food absolutely great. You should go there with some time to enjoy the lovely food. Fish is fresh on display. The meat was outstanding. One...thing I had trouble with, was the parking. The restaurant is on a narrow street and cars park everywhere. Even though the restaurant has a small parking lot, it does not fit enough cars for the size of the restaurant.More
Dear Marlies A, First of all, thank you for your review! It is a pleasure to receive such a comment on us. In fact, we have a large parking lot a few meters away, about 50mts away! :) Hope to see you among us. Regards
This is a case-study of a top restaurant in the middle of nowhere. You must visit. Take a car and visit this place: superb food, great atmosphere, good (yet fallible...) service. Their very own bacalhau a Romando is a safe choice, but you will also...find plenty of excellent food. The wine and champagne menu is a must-explore! Great desserts too!More
Dear ACGRilo, Thank you for your review! We expect everything was good so we can well receive you again. Regards
We have been staying about 10 mins from here and never knew it existed or we would be going there every time we visited, The place is beautiful, the food and service equals. We speak little Portuguese but they immediately changed our menu and waiter,...who was outstanding btw, to English. We had prawns as a starter followed by the lobster rice. OMG was that a treat. We selected a wine and the waiter said that we should try something else which was so much better. The place is not cheap but it was worth every penny. We wanted some peri-peri (hot sauce) and they brought out something that the owner makes wow was that a joy. I cannot say enough about this restaurantMore
Hi USMampoer, First of all, thank you very much for your review! it is trully great to receive such a review! Hope to see you soon among us! Regards, Romando
The food was great as always but the dude that was greeting the customers was a huge a-hole... He talked to us like we were his "bros" telling us that we needed a reservation even tho the restaurant was almost empty and they only had...5 reservations, no more than 5 heads each. If you don't want asian customers to come to your restaurant, them out up a sign saying: We don't serve people from asian descent. Keep up the good work.More
Dear Antonio Y, First of all, thank you for your review. It is with surprise that we receive your complaint since we are very receptive to all kind of customers, no matter if portuguese, english or asian. We are a restaurant with doors open and...More
