This was my first time at the Vasco. I’ve read a few reviews and personally wasn’t expecting much! I went there with my father and we had fish and a bottle of white wine. OMG that was delicious! Paulo (waiter who speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese,...More

The codfish is unbelievably oily, tasteless except for oily and salty. Octopus is so soft that you can’t believe that it is fresh. We ordered two plates and just finished half plate....we have to force ourselves eat something because the prices are tooooooooooooo high for...More

Looked nice and chose w/o reference to any review. Host was attentive and helpful but food was only ok. Starter was nice but main courses were variable, fish nice, squid not great. Maybe we chose poorly but the menu was (positively) short and all dishes...More

We had lunch here and sat outside. This cute little restaurant is located very close to the main square but in a charming side street. We had a delicious sea bass grilled with melt in the mouth potatoes and some veg. We thoroughly enjoyed the...More

We went twice without reservations early in the evening. The multilingual owner was very good at accommodating us. A real mix of locals and tourists. Excellently prepared and cooked local fish dishes.
