COD D'Armas ... House speciality .. Very nice and ice cold beer. Literally. Great service and easy going staff. Not quite on the river but has a nice feel.

The food is very good. Very good quality, nice sizes. It is more on the international food that in the local food. The service at the beginning is slow but it improves a lot.

Well situated down by the waterfront. Good quality food. Service was a little slow and the wine overpriced - 18 Euros for a bottle of Alvarinho which you can get in the local supermarket for 6 Euros.

We were walking around with the aim to find a good looking restaurant to eat lunch and this was the first one we saw and liked the look of, although it looked a little on the expensive side. The atmosphere was nice, and so was the staff (mostly). Different tables did seem to have been given different treatments, some seemed... More

I was surprised with the bad reviews for this restaurant and I am thankful that I didn't check it's rating before going there, because, if I did, I wouldn't have gone there and I wouldn't have enjoyed it so much! The thing is I really liked this restaurant! So much that I went for dinner again on my second day... More

Like many trip advisor viewers, we walked in because we liked the atmosphere and the place looked like the real thing! No way!!!! Bad, bad, bad, very bad!!! We were supposed to eat an "arroz de marisco" for 65€. What we expected was a steamy, hot dish with delicious sea food. What we got instead was wet rice with cold... More

Need a place to eat and found this place just walking down the road. Tables outside were full, but that was ok as we wanted to sit inside, which was empty. We started with the crab meat with bread and mayonnaise, nothing special but ok. Then the wife and I had the Sea Bass which was the recommended special and... More

I was surprised to read the negative reviews of this restaurant. My husband and I had lunch there recently, and left with a very positive impression. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The waiter was so attentive to our needs, so we did not lack anything. On the other hand, I feel that the town itself lacks character.

I went to this restaurant, while visiting for a day Viana. My boyfriend is from Porto and we went for sightseeing and walking through the city. We were hungry and looking for a place to eat when we passed this lovely restaurant, Casa d´Armas. Once inside I though, wow nice place, but maybe it will be really expensive! He said:... More
