A very nice lunch buffet with a wide variation of vegan dishes for a very reasonable price! We visited this place 3 times during our vacation :)

Although I am a lapsed vegetarian, for me this place was superb with so many delicious dishes and salads to choose from and all for a set price. Many of them are happily also gluten free with everything well marked thanks to EU regulations (don't...blame me, I voted remain!). Porto is a relatively small city and the restaurant is very close to everything including the train station. Service is friendly and unassuming and the desserts if you want one are very good as well. All in all the food here is excellent value for money and I at least thought really good quality.More

There are clearly magical kitchen fairies running DaTerra. This is the place of places. Everything is so amazing it doesn't make any sense. That's all I have to say.More

I am reluctant to ever give one star but I shall be as constructive as possible. Initially myself and my partner had high hopes for the vegetarian restaurant as it’s a welcome break from the meaty Porto food. Sadly we made a mistake, we ate...from the canteen style buffet menu and had a little bit of everything. We found the salads quite unimaginative or extremely strange. The preparation of the food was poor for instance stems of the cabbages in the slaw weren’t removed and also it was with pineapple which is obviously immediately going to split the mayo. Quite unpleasant to eat. The courgettes mandolined were browning before they got onto our plates and weren’t in my opinion fresh. The salads all in all were quite bland, the focaccia was sweet and soggy, the salads were at room temperature and lacked the ‘fresh’ flavours I would associate with them. After we ate from the hot buffet, which unfortunately was even worse, we ate polenta with a soya bolognaise. It wasn’t really bolognaise just spinach with some soya and no sauce, the polenta was soggy, strange texture, very anemic and under seasoned. The vegetable gratin wasn’t really a gratin just overcooked mushy vegetables with a gloopy possible packeted bechemel sauce with some under seasoned room temperature rice (can be dangerous in fact). I didn’t try the tofu but the portion my partner received was tasteless, burned and somehow Crispy not in a good way and the green beans that came with it were also quite uninteresting. All in all I’d say back to basics, look at what you are doing and make sure it tastes good. Fancy salads and out there ideas aren’t always good. But clearly we are in a minority as the restaurant is bustling and it recieves good reviews. This is in my opinion due to market distortions, I.e tourism of Porto and the lack of vegetarian options in other restaurants in the city, this will change in time and the restaurant needs to up its game to survive in the future.More

Ate the lunch buffet which was very good. Big variety of dishes to pick from. You point at what you want and they serve it for you (corona-safety I guess) and you can refill as many times as you want. They had both sallads, cold...dishes and warm food. Because of the large amount of guests you have to be ready for some few minutes of queue time when you pick the food. Alll in all good place to eat vegan food!More

I'm currently eating my second plate from the buffet and my belly is about to exploded. I can't help myself cause it's so goood! And healthy! No guilt here! I came here last Saturday with a friend, and had to come back because of the...level of the deliciousness. Also the dishes offered in the buffet rotates, and change, and you never know how exactly they gonna taste like, and I found that very exciting because I love discovering new flavours and different way to make food 😍 and as a vegan, it feels so good to have a place to eat out with a real diverse choice of dishes (and not have to get the ONLY veg/vegan option) so big big up to DaTerra and I hope you will expend world wide!! I will miss you when I'll come back to London! (Ps: they also have a selection of vegan- sugar and gluten free cakes, I mean...) I recommend 1000% and I'm planning to come back every weekend. The food is THAT good.More

The food is great and wonderful value for money--lots of variety, and it's constantly being rotated. The service, however, was truly awful. I was ignored for my entire meal. Never asked if I wanted a drink. Not even given cutlery (I finally asked a server...after sitting with my food getting cold, who gave it to me and immediately ran away). Then to add insult to injury, was asked mid-meal to move to a table in the back, so a larger group could take my window spot. Servers basically grab the plate from your table the second you finish. Thumbs down. Spend a bit more, and go to a better restaurant.More
