ROOT, innovate and surprise respecting our traditions, merge the old Portuguese cuisine with contemporary. For that this is also your space and is not just a customer, we aim to provide you a unique experience with personal service. Our commandments: - Slow cooking - Farm to table - In the microwave - National Products mostly Our delicacies are prepared with methods of slow cooking, where we use fresh produce and not resort to the use of the microwave. After that just said please be in no hurry, because the delicacies are confecionadas for the same day, and we invite you to enjoy them because everything confecionado has great affection.

We happened upon this restaurant by chance- and am so happy we stayed for dinner. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, candles on the tables, nice background music. It’s situated on 3 levels- the views quite beautiful. But the food - that’s the star. We...More

This restaurant is friendly and welcoming. The menu was varied with a Portuguese element that worked really well. We both had meat mains which were cooked perfectly - the loin of veal was particularly good. A little gem of a place worth a visit.

Despite a bit of a wait to get our table (despite having reserved it) we enjoyed a great dinner at Raiz. Miguel was extremely helpful, despite us ordering a modest amount of food (late lunch!) and the food was really good. Recommended!

As far as I remember they are happy for you to select a number of small dishes from the menu rather than one main course. They are very flexible.
