On an evening stroll in the city we found Cantina 32 and we were delighted! So much so that we tried to return the next night but it was fully booked! There is a fabulous ambience in the restaurant, it is warm & cosy (very...dimly lit) but with an industrial-vintage vibe. The menu was excellent & it also catered for a vegan choice which is not easy to find when travelling! You can choose from small sharing plates to larger portions & the famous Porto Franceshina sandwich is here too! We had to try..! Delicious, your heart probably won’t thank you but hey.. when in Porto…! Service is excellent, understated yet on point! Don’t understand why this restaurant isn’t higher up the rankings here, probably because it’s not down by the port! Do yourselves a favour and eat here but unless you’re early you may need a reservation! Their sister restaurant down the street Puro4050 is also a find!More
Wow! Loved the atmosphere and loved the food and service.
Started with the squid and it was delicious. Shared the shrimp and octopus. Both were so very delicious.
Our server made the night. Took her time and walked us through deserts and port.
Look at...the photos and then make a reservation and GOOO!!!!!More
We stumbled across this restaurant on a Monday night on our arrival to Porto. Most of the restaurants were closed and the rest were full so we were lucky to get in. The staff were really helpful as were choose 4 of their signature starters...between the 3 of us including the tuna. The food was really lovely and ample so we didn’t have mains but looking at other diners plates, they looked equally as good.
The prices are excellent and the local wines are great without being a rip off as in the UK.More
