I like to come to this place due to the price, quality and convenient location. I name it a chineese tasco in Porto. I feel part of the family when I eat there. Staff is kind and with strong personality. Good selections of Portuguese wine,...trays and table cloths. For these, I would even consider a fusion experience! Recommending this place for those who want to eat chinese with a fair price and quality downtown.More

Four of us are here. We shared 2 spring rolls, 4 assorted main courses plus a prawn and pork chow mein and cantonese rice. Also we had 2 fried apple with ice cream for dessert. All the food was excellent, decent portions and good quality...meat/seafood. Along with the food we had a jug of sangria, 2 beers and 3 fanta orange and we paid only around 60 Euro. We also all agreed it was the nicest Chinese food we had had for some time. Go try it.More

I like this place a lot, and have been three times on visits to Porto. Fancy it isn’t. But it’s incredibly good value, the dishes are well cooked and home made, and always tasty. Particular favourites are the shrimp won tons and the duck with...orange. The home made chilli sauce is fantastic. Good rice. Staff are welcoming and Nove China has such a nice, low key vibe. A really good neighbourhood restaurant, and I’ll definitely be going back.More

The place has a great location, the waitress was very nice, spoke well English and she did not have a problem to explain the menu. It is a perfect place for people who are looking for low-cost food, we paid around !13€ for two!, we...had a menu which consisted of great spring rolls, duck and shrimps with rice and an espresso in the end. I would totally recommend - especially for the price!More

It is a GREAT Chinese restaurant that provides AUTHENTIC Chinese cuisines. The restaurant is not in the hands of the third generation of Chinese descents and they preserve all the traditions and the flavor. As Chinese travelers, my boyfriend and I ate at their restaurant...almost everyday (4 days and 5 meals). I highly recommend this restaurant.More

We went with another couple before a show at the Coliseu. We each had a variety of plates. One of our appetizers didnt arrive before our main course. The Pekingese duck was tasty. Sweet and sour chicken was tasty but a bit tough. Garlic shrimp...on sizzling plate came with bamboo shoots and seaweed and while the shrimp was tender the dish was quite salty. Chop suey fried rice with curry was a bit dry. Egg rolls were greasy. Server was attentive and informative. Would we return? No.More

We needed a break from the traditional portuguese food and had a craving for Chinese. Stumbled in, and were the only people in the restaurant for most of our evening, which allowed us to have great conversations with the waitress. She had great recommendations about...wine, and we had a lovely and spicy dinner, just the change we were looking for. VERY reasonably priced, would definitely recommend.More

Small ans unpretentious, with a homely atmosphere, the food was outstanding and tasted authentic. I say thus after having eaten a lot of Chinese food in Asia. The service was prompt and staff helpful. A minor point is that the bathroom could be smartened up...a bit. But this place was extremely good value for money.More

This Chinese provided great food for a group of meat eaters and vegetarians. The veggie options were extensive and we all had a good meal. The value was incredible and I would thoroughly recommend it. The main hostess could possibly smile a little more (!)...but she was polite. Recommended if you like Chinese food and have a vegetarian in your group!More

Finding restaurants in Porto that serve meals that are both vegetarian and gluten-free can be a challenge. Restaurante Nova China has it covered with several options incorporating either rice or the home-made rice noodles. And there are plenty of options for meat-eaters like myself. The...restaurant makes its own noodles, both rice noodles and chow mein (egg noodles), so two of us chose noodle dishes. They also make their own (optional) chilli sauce which certainly helped to put a kick into my chow mein with shrimps and vegetables. For appetisers, the mushroom soup and the chicken and corn soup were both very tasty. The hostess was friendly and helpful and speaks English. We had an enjoyable dinner and the price is excellent (less than €30 for three of us, including drinks).More
