It's been quite surprising to find this small Japanese restaurant in Porto, facing the Atlantic ocean. We had a nice lunch with fresh ingredients. The menu card is small but it correctly represents the Japanese cuisine. Fresh tofu was served with katsuobushi, so thumbs up ;)

The sushi cannot be more real, not just the fish but also the"shari (rice)." It reminded me of how Atlantic tuna was treasured in Japan. And "tofu (hiyayakko)." And even "natto." Surprisingly, most ingredients were procured locally - which is quite essential in Japanese cuisine to enjoy freshness. It beats many of its rivals in Japan.日本にも支店が欲しいくらい。

A Japanese restaurant serving top quality food. Not just the sushi/sashimi but the starters were top notch. Two of us ate here - one Japanese and one half-Japanese who spends 20% of the year living in Tokyo - and we rate this very highly. The selection of dishes on offer were authentic, and the taste was perfect. Comments on the... More

If you like sushi ok a good one. If you do not like don't go. I order salmon instead of sushi , sashimi etc etc . Nor well done. Service fast but only educated enough.

If, like me, you are into pure japanese food, simple, tasty, very well presented, without all those fusion cuisine whistles and bells, then this place is for you. Everything is excellent: food quality and presentation, location in Foz do Porto with a magnificent sea view, professional and efficient service, calm and friendly atmosphere. Definitely a must attend place for all... More

If you like sushi, this is a great restaurant to have it. Everything I tried was very well made and delicious. The downside is its a bit pricey...

One of the best Japanese restaurants I ever went. It's a bit pricey but the food is really good and it helps you discover other typical Japanese dishes then sushi .

Yes, there is more to Japanese food than sushi, and this is a good restaurant to prove that point- there is a rich variety of japanese food from different regions. The chef is actually japanese which helps, the decor is simple but pleasant, the location could not be better in one of the nicest areas of Porto (the Foz), right... More

Ichiban is an amasio place to go and have Shushi; I dare to say that it is the only place to have traditional Japanese Shushi in Porto. The place is decorated as most Shushi restaurants in Japan and the atmosphere is really as it should be - the music is very soft and relaxed. The quality of the fish really... More
