My husband and I called in without a reservation and were greeted pleasantly by attentive staff. We were promptly shown a table and the menu was explained in detail by one of the waiters. Food was delicious and surroundings pleasant. Glad we visited
This two story restaurant was 2 doors from our lodging so it was a treat to eat delicious food here. The staff are friendly and helpful in describing the dining options. We enjoyed the atmosphere with relics from the building's past life.
We booked ahead as we had read such great reviews. When we turned up all the staff looked like schoolboys on their first day at big school. It's a beautiful restaurant, dark and mediaeval with a smell of wood smoke.

Spent our second dinner here in Porto - it was SUPREME. Great food (pork cheeks and old cheeses as appetizer + bacalao + pork with castañas) and the service as well!super nice friendly and prepared young staff!!$

Absolutely amazing dinner - Where do I even start? The food, the people and the atmosphere was amazing. Some of the menu is in English, and the rest in Portuguese but have no fear, they'll come by and translate all the dishes for you!
