We tried to visit today and the restaurant has either closed or moved location. Number 195 is now an Italian pizzeria that looks like it’s opened recently.

We ate at Tripeiro on our first night in Porto at the recommendation of our AirBnB hosts. We are so happy we dined here! The food was fantastic and the service was friendly and attentive. We tried many dishes, including the octopus salad and the..."açorda de gambas servida em pão" which is a traditional Portuguese dish: a shrimp stew served in a hallowed out sourdough loaf. Everything we tried was delicious. A group of four shared three starters, two mains, and two bottles of wine and the final price per person was shockingly reasonable. The decor of this restaurant is welcoming and warm. Definitely recommend!More

We stopped in at Tripeiro with some visiting friends who wanted to sample Portuguese food. We were very happy with our decision. We found he decor to be very pleasing and the service was very good. I enjoyed some Portuguese bean soup and some delicious...oxtail with rice. We also enjoyed a refreshing jug of Sangria. We'll be back!More

Sat with a party of 4 for lunch. Some of the food was 4/5 some of the food was 3/5. Table service was efficient. Ambience was nice. Sangria was delicious and refreshing. Portuguese soup was excellent! Chicken salad was very bland and the chicken tasted...like it was a day old. The shrimp salad was tasty. Oxtail was good. Would we return - probably not.More

On out first night in Porto, we stumbled across this restaurant for our evening meal, and were glad to do so. After walking round trying to find the right place, the interior drew us in. Nice decor, a lot of wood, low lighting, candles, with...a traditional feel. My partner chose the tuna steak, with salad, all lovely and a decent portion. I was browsing the menu and my need for an energy boost after a long day of travelling made me fall for the lure of a francesinha! I thought I would try this traditional 'delicacy', and have to say it was very nice, it did the trick, no room for dessert! Highly recommended restaurant for couples or groups, nice atmosphere, and not too pricey. A nice find.More

We went there on our last day in Porto because we wanted to try the tripes. The restaurant is really nice and surprisingly big. The tripes were really good but we also asked for "1/2 dosis" of rice with cheese from Azores and ox tail...meat and this literally blew our mind. We liked it even more than the tripes and I think it was one of the highlights of our gourmet experience in Porto overall. The services was nice too and the prices were fair. I would come back.More

I booked Tripeiro based on a recommendation from a colleague although neither of us had been here before, it was from word of mouth. I was arranging a company dinner for over 20 people. We are based in the UK so everything was sorted over...email. I can't recommend Tripeiro enough. The whole evening was so much more than I could have hoped for. The appetizers were incredible as was the main course and desserts! The venue itself is beautiful, charismatic and unique. We were situated upstairs in the private room and it was stunning. Apart from the setting and the amazing view the whole night was made even more special by the attentive staff that served us. They were amazing! They were there to pour drinks before you realized you needed one, the food came out in a timely manner and it was seamless. I highly recommend this restaurant and will be coming back next year for an even bigger event!More

The food was exceptionally good, they had various traditional portuguese dishes, as well as other offers. A good fit for everyone! The waiters were very attentive and helpful, and overall very nice to everybody. Plus: they all spoke English very well which helped us a...lot. The atmosphere was comfortable and spacious, but also cozy due to the lighting. We liked it very much and would definitely recommend it, especially for tourists in search of national food.More
