We had a fantastic meal here. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the service was super. The food was a delight and I had what seemed very traditional Portuguese food served in a modern way. The portions were large and the seafood...More

The food was excellent, as was the service. The setting is a lovely: intimate, with old world charm. Great spot for a romantic dinner.

My husband and I had dinner here, and despite an unprepossessing entrance and stairway, it was a wonderful find! Very relaxed, lovely staff, and delicious food. We shared the salmon tartare, and then both had the pork cheek with puréed sweet potato, plus mushrooms and...More

We had read about this restaurant but it said booking was essential as it is quite small. We hadn't booked but went in on the off chance and luckily they had a table. We are so glad we did - the meal was superb! I...More

A very elegant dinner at "Camafeu", it really appears you're having dinner with friends somehow. Tasted the sopa do dia and mushrooms as entradas, then tartaro do salma and polvo (the polvo was a bit overcooked, difficult to cut but still good). Service was pretty...More

Booked for a romantic birthday dinner, this tiny first floor restaurant is a real find. The waiter was the best I think I’ve ever had - charming, helpful, polite but also discreet and didn’t intrude on our romantic evening. The food was excellent - Portuguese...More

Unique setting, almost like being let into someone’s period apartment for dinner. Exceptional waiters. Superb quality food. Definitely need to book.

Lovely restaurant with excellent and professional staff. The menu is concise and diverse. Loved the sirloin steak with red wine sauce and cheese cake. We enjoyed it so much, we made another reservation at the end of our dinner.

On the first floor of a historical site in Porto's downtown, recently opened a small quiet restaurant, called Camafeu. Go back to the times where you had a meal at your grandparent's place, where the decor was romantic but eclectic and where you can indulge yourself on mouth-watering but not-pretentious food.At dinner time, you are invited to stay for a late drink and enjoy, through the big windows, the scenery of the square bellow (Praca Carlos Alberto, named after our late King). We invite you to try the tender Sirloin steak or the Duck with figg jam, or the Prawn porridge among other fabulous appetizers and main-courses. Everybody will love our home-made desserts. Don't forget to ask for the famous Portuguese wine from the Douro region, either it's Port, White or Red..
