The service, the food, the atmosphere and the experience all culminate into a great night. Could not fault the restaurant.

Thank goodness we booked this for our first night in Porto as the weekends are very popular at the restaurant so make sure you book in advance! A lovely small setting of an old apartment it's very romantic and the service is superb. The menu is small but everything we tasted was outstanding, my favourite being the cheeks. This restaurant... Such a beautiful little restaurant, staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, even as we were running nearly 30 minutes late! Everything we had was delicious and wine recommendations were superb. For Porto it was an expensive meal but by Australian standards this was a 5-star meal for average prices. Highly recommended to anyone traveling to Porto - do make a... More

Very nice place, quiet pleasant and romantic atmosphere, excellent service, excellent food ( best octopus i have eaten in years). The menu is short but everything we tried was excellent. Very small place, few tables so you have to reserve early, preferably a few days in advance. The door on the street is a bit hard to find and the... More

We ( a family of 3 ) were fortunate to dine here in early September. The food was not only innovative but absolutely stunning. My wife had a scallop salad to start with and declared it " the best starter I have ever had " Now that is going some as she has eaten in many Michelin starred restaurants. My... More

My son and I visited Camafeu at 9.30 on a recent Friday evening. Dining room was classy and the place was nicely full. The food was great - try the octopus or the monkfish stew or frankly any thing. The choice of food is good and the quality exceptional. Great choice of good wine and very attentive and knowledgeable staff.... More

My fiance and I went here and it was a great dining experience and cosy, romantic ambiance. The service and food were amazing with a mix of local delicacies and upscale modern food. The wine was really amazing and good value! Great place for small groups or couples. Recommend booking in advance.

This is a lovely place on second floor far away from the noise of the streets and crowds. It is also small, almost like your own living room. All the food was excellent, wines perfect and service friendly. Just remember to order a table beforehand. There won't be a vacant table if you just pop in.

We stopped by one day at Camafeu but couldn't get in, so made a reservation for another day. We were the first ones there at 7:30 on a Tuesday, but the place filled up. The atmosphere is so pleasant; we had a window table with a view of the square, and the room was candle lit, with warm wood floors... More

On the first floor of a historical site in Porto's downtown, recently opened a small quiet restaurant, called Camafeu. Go back to the times where you had a meal at your grandparent's place, where the decor was romantic but eclectic and where you can indulge yourself on mouth-watering but not-pretentious food.At dinner time, you are invited to stay for a late drink and enjoy, through the big windows, the scenery of the square bellow (Praca Carlos Alberto, named after our late King). We invite you to try the tender Sirloin steak or the Duck with figg jam, or the Prawn porridge among other fabulous appetizers and main-courses. Everybody will love our home-made desserts. Don't forget to ask for the famous Portuguese wine from the Douro region, either it's Port, White or Red.
