You are seated in the most beautiful high ceiling dining room with chandeliers and plush vintage and a view over the square - spiralling you back to a time with solid wealth and a prosperous outlook. The menu consists of equally generous compositions; rethinking traditional courses - if you haven't yet tasted a bacahau, you might start here with the... More

Everything was perfect, from the environment and the atmosphere to the food taste and quality! The chef prepared very original flavour mixes, but they were never exagerate, every plate was tasting and delicate at the same time. The furbishment of this small restaurant is very nice too! Absolutely everything how it should be! Warmly suggested!

It is a small, nice and very cozy restaurant in the university area of Porto downtown. The restaurant is located inside an apartment of an old traditional Portuguese house and the atmosphere is warm and old-fashioned with many vintage furniture; Dining here is much more similar to go eating to a friend house than to a restaurant, really a unique... This is a very charming restaurant located on the second floor of a tiny building; with only about a dozen tables, making it cozy and personal. We had excellent starters and mains, and the dessert sampler was out of this world. We kept going back and forth about which of the provided selections was our favorite. The service was very... We enjoyed our evening at Camafeu very much. It's a lovely, romantic room with a view over a decent-looking square. Service is professional. I will add this place to my list of restaurants that I wish had reasonably up-to-date menus on the web. Based on the website menu I did not indicate in advance that we had dietary restrictions, but... More

This was one of the best restaurant we've been for a long time. The restaurant is on first floor with only a small sign at the door indication its existence so it's easy to miss it. The dining room is small and cozy with nice interiors. Service is friendly and decent. Food is extremely tasty, nicely presented and on a... More

This was the experience we did not expect. We expected a bit expensive restaurant with good food and wine. However we were wrong - the restaurant is with OK prices - you can have food for 15 - 20 EUR. The restaurant has only few main courses, however the food we ordered was one of the best in our life... We had a charming dinner seated in the window of this small second floor restaurant. The service was impeccable along with the food. We had the local recommended appetizer Vieiras, followed by both having the Bife a Portuguesa. Good meal partnered with a bottle of Quinta Pessegueiro. A great evening.

Description
On the first floor of a historical site in Porto's downtown, recently opened a small quiet restaurant, called Camafeu. Go back to the times where you had a meal at your grandparent's place, where the decor was romantic but eclectic and where you can indulge yourself on mouth-watering but not-pretentious food.At dinner time, you are invited to stay for a late drink and enjoy, through the big windows, the scenery of the square bellow (Praca Carlos Alberto, named after our late King). We invite you to try the tender Sirloin steak or the Duck with figg jam, or the Prawn porridge among other fabulous appetizers and main-courses. Everybody will love our home-made desserts. Don't forget to ask for the famous Portuguese wine from the Douro region, either it's Port, White or Red.
