This is a more upscale local joint, but they are used to tourists and the menus is translated into English etc. Very good, simple food. I had a delicious grilled fish. About 7-8 Euros a main at lunch time, which is not cheap for Porto, but definitely worthwhile as a once a week once in a while thing or for... More

Been here a few times now and whilst the service can be a little slow it is only because of this places massive local following. Always busy but always patient for a foreign guy in a restaurant full of natives (always a good sign). The wine is good and the waiters are always willing to recommend dishes. Can't rate this... This is a lovely local restaurant. Nothing fancy. Good food at great prices. We did feel a bit rushed as they brought our mains before we had finished our starters, so perhaps best to order them separately! We would definitely go back.

This place is very old school in its style and appearance but the food is top notch. Incredibly cheap for what it is too - highly recommended.

If you want to avoid the Tourist restaurants and want to eat where the locals go to sample Traditional Portuguese food with great service and excellent value for money come here. It is off the main street but not too hard to find - its on google maps!

Buraco is great if you want traditional portuguese food. The service is impeccable and everything is delightful. I go there very frequently and everything is great. Arroz de Pato is a must and so are the Tripas (available on Friday only). You won't regret it!

It's more of a family or local's restaurant, they have very good service and food, the prices are good for the amount of food, you can get satisfied with about 35€ for two people. The locations is a bit difficult to find for tourists, the decoration and atmosphere are very simple and comfortable, very friendly and good menu, if you... More

This is a very well know local canteen which specialises in brisk service and a quick turnover. Very busy and with a great atmosphere, so bookings (if you can make one) are advisable. Do not plan for a long evening there. The food however is pretty average, although the price generally reflects this. There are plenty of alternatives elsewhere in... More
