Surprised how little time we had to wait for our lunch order and we chose of the extensive menu.Very efficient and everything ordered was cooked to perfection,a mixed grill of meats and starter of pasteis de bacalao.Fellow diners also received quick service but they were local business types. Not far from the famous Bolhao market....look for the yellow and blue flag... We went here for dinner on our first night, and went back for dinner on our last. The fish dishes are superbly cooked, and the cheese of the day is a must. Everything is very reasonable and unfussy. Dinner for two with wine for under €30 is easily done. The house special (cod) is delicious and the fried whiting was... More

Our hotel recommended it, and it is cheap, but we found the fish overcooked and a bit dry. I suppose you get what you pay for. Be prepared to queue up. We paid 30 euro per couple for dinner which included a very simple starter, rice, chips, main course , wine and coffee.

A terrific restaurant. Great local food, skilful home cooking and warm hospitality. One of the owners was very happy to assist us with ordering as we have very limited Portuguese language skills. If I return to Porto this would be a 'must visit' restaurant.

Ate here twice for lunch and both times had excellent food and wine with helpful and friendly service. It buzzes with people working in the area at lunch time and you get a real sense of being somewhere different and, for Europe, quite foreign! As with must Porto restaurants you get a small selection of nibbles and bread included in... More

We were recommended this restaurant by a couple of locals. Standing outside it didnt look like much, but dont judge a book by its cover! the food it serves is tasty and seems very very traditional, it was empty plates all round at the end! There wasn't a massive amount of dishes to choose from, but all that was there... More

Don't be fooled by the appearance from the outside. The food and service is amazing. It is full of locals and the dishes are traditional. The specials vary daily and the grilled fish/stew are delicious. Recommend

Good food, interesting interior with mirrors that confused people at times, I found that entertaining. I could watch the television with my back to it. Service was straight to the point but I enjoyed that, no kidding around, just get in, sit down, make an order and enjoy. Felt good. Ate fish with potatoes, some fried fish and had a... More
