I came here for dinner with a friend and we very much enjoyed our evening. The service was excellent and the style of the restaurant was very inviting. I had the goat cheese starter and a side salad. My friend had the vegetarian pasta. The...only reason I do not give it five stars is that it is rather overpriced for what you get. Overall, a very memorable evening!More

We google nice restaurants in the area and thought this one could be interesting and it really was. It is really value for money. We had a starter and a main course and one of us had a dessert too. Every dish was well prepared...and served in a very professional way. We will highly recommend this restaurant.More

As a guests at the hotel, we wished to eat there. Despite being totally empty we were told they were awaiting for loads of people who booked. Long story short (wrote a full review in the hotel section) the restaurant was never full but rather...empty, I went to check later on twice and many many tables available, just 3 tables occupied. We were forced to eat a couple of sandwiches from the room service menu. Felt and still feel very offended. We never went back the following two other nights. We brought our custom somewhere else.More

We stayed at the Hotel Teatro, which has a very cool theatre-based (as the name suggests) ambience, and the restaurant was part of this theme. We were looking forward to trying the creative tasting menu, as mentioned in many of the reviews, but unfortunately the...restaurant had just changed the chef, so this was no longer a possibility. The service was excellent, but the food was more to the traditional (filling) side of Portuguese cooking than the creative flair you can find in other Porto restaurants.More

We went for the 6-course tasting menu. My husband also had the wine pairing. According to him, the wine selections were excellent ( much better than the wines we tasted in a wine tasting tour) and reasonably priced. We gave it 5 stars because of...the excellent food and service. I would say the last dessert , though beautiful and delicious, could be smaller in portion... This is not exactly a complaint, is it?More

Restaurante Palco is a Michelin-recognized restaurant that provided an intimate setting, great local wine pairings and selections, and a delicious tasting menu. Palco's tasting menu offers a wine pairing that was a good value as far as food, wine, and portions go. We enjoyed a...range of traditional and innovative dishes that included seafood and meet and the wines were well paired with each selection. The staff provided great context on the food, wine, and backstory for the dishes. We were able to eat our dinner leisurely and if you do happen to do a tasting, you should budget two plus hours as it takes time for each dish to be prepared and there are a bounty of dishes. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and appreciated the intimate setting.More

Amazing food! Really excellent 8 course meal with wine pairing. The appetisers you get complimentary were absolutely fantastic as well. I heard the waiter explain to another table that they were a Michelin star nominee and trying to get a star - we could really...tell that they were because the quality of the food and service were as if at a Michelin star restaurant! The waiters would put on white gloves to serve the dish every time! I had said in my booking that it was my boyfriend’s birthday so they brought us a specially made (small) cake with a candle and two glasses of rosé sparkling wine - on the house! We were so full and very satisfied! Our meal took 3 hours though - which I thought was very long but I didn’t realise that it had been so long because we were enjoying ourselves so much!More

I have deducted a star as we were made to wait ten minutes in a bar without explanation athough we had booked and the restaurant was virtually empty. After that everything was wonderful. With some trepidation we had the 80€ tasting menu with harmonised wines...(35 € extra). Often this means a series of clever snacks that don't constitute a meal. On this occasion it meant a crescendo of original, well cooked and generous dishes with 7 different and excellent wines - all Portuguese. We have rarely enjoyed a meal so much. Bravo!More

We booked in the afternoon after finding it very difficult to find a restaurant that suited us for a Sunday night. We didn’t realise that it was more fine dining than casual but we made the space suit us comfortably. The food was impeccable and...the service slick and well rehearsed. We were also served a complimentary bite, amuse bouche and petit fours. All in all a fantastic experience, an unexpected night with great food and wine to the total of €135 for two and worth every cent. 10/10 will be back!More

Had an outstanding 8 courses meal with paired wines. 7 glasses at a mere 35€ p/p. The menu is fab, deeply rooted in Portoguese tradition with great ingredients, yet beautifully brought to contemporarity. Setting is extremely elegant and refined, but welcoming. The service is a...bit of a formal one, but everyone is very kind and willing to let you feel at ease. Strongly recommended. Starred restaurant in a whileMore
