This is probably the best sushi place in Porto, though it has it's particularities. It is not cheap and it works best if it is not too crowded. The chef is quite friendly and will help you decide and give you good suggestions. The degustation menu is a good possibility. And the chocolate fondant is great

After several days in Porto and enjoying the local food, we wanted to try something different. We are big fans of sushi so found Kyodai on tripadvisor. We booked a table but when we arrived we were the only diners and in fact remained the only diners during our entire meal. However, this did not feel uncomfortable as we received... More

We went for a mixed menu that cost EUR 30 per person. This is actually fairly similar to Norwegian prices (= expensive), but the quality was good. I actually think we enjoyed the starters more than the sushi, but that is probably more based on fish preference. The restaurant is located inside a hotel, which doesn't matter as it's a... More

After a week of being in Spain & Portugal and eating lots of tapas, we wanted a different taste and decided to try Kyodai. This is a new location from what I heard - it's now inside a nice hotel and the atmosphere is quite sleek. We chose to sit at the sushi bar, which is what we typical do... More

Kyodai is a really nice restaurant in the Bom Sucesso area. We went there, based on the reviews on tripadvisor and we still got surprised with the quality of the fish and the service. The tuna and salmon were the kind that just melt in your mouths. It is a place to return!

The ambience is relaxed and the service very good. The fish is first class, as well as the fusion proposals from the sushi man. The rice was good regarding taste but lacked a bit of stickiness, requiring a higher degree of skill with the chopsticks to be able to eat a whole piece. Good choice, but not my favorite in... More

Great room and outside deck. Sushi is really fresh, with simple and creative options! Owners are two brazilian brothers who master this exquisite art of composing raw fish!

we were staying at the HF Fenix so it became handy one night when we got back late and did not feel like going out again. because of the hours, there were limited options, but it was very good anyway. Finish your evening with a glass of great japanese 18-y whiskey at the bar next door.
