After reading other reviews, we decided to have lunch here during our 5 day stay in Porto. There was a queue out of the door when we arrived (but we expected that) but it was worth the wait! We ordered the pork & cheese bap (roll) with a beer each - 3.75 euro each - BARGAIN!!

The Sandes de Pernil are fantastic. 2,75 EUR each they are really delicious. Minimal ambiente and very friendly staff.

Well first: don't go there with a lot of hungry, you have to stand at least 20 minutes in a queue. Second: you are going to eat one of the best and cheaper 'sandes' of Porto. I recommend the 'sande de pernil com paio de porco preto'. It's not a fancy place, it's simple, and old. I think when they... More

Don´t expect a posh restaurant, this is far away from posh or even regular dinner. Is a kind of traditional, "naked" of all kind of beautification, is all about food and that´s it! I use to have some soup and the sandwich with pork meat and soft cheese, it´s great, joining some sangria. PROS - Food: Sandwiches made with traditional... More

This small neighborhood restaurant (short walk from Ibis Porto Centro) has excellent port sandwiches, and is opens late at night when other restaurants are closed.

It's a nice, local cafe with simple, very good food. They specialize in pork, so you can't miss a sandwiche with it. We took 2 sandwiches with pork, 1 with home made cheese, fries, bottle of house wine and 2 deserts....and all of it for 15 euro! Staff is really nice and cafe is full of locals. So if you... More

This may be one of the most amazing spots in Porto, known for its sandwich of “Pernil” with “Da Serra” cheese (Pernil is the thinnest part of the leg of either pork or beef. In this case roasted pork pernil). It was a secret known by the biggest food connoisseurs of the city but quickly the word was spread and... More

Don’t miss this place! After its suggestion in Lonely Planet me and my gf went there and over the course of the next 12hrs we had a total of 7 roast pork sandwiches which are super yum and awesome value.

If you´re in Porto and you don´t make it to this place you´ve done yourself an injustice. I try not to repeat restaurants when I´m traveling as there are so many great places to try but after having this sandwich once I woke up craving it a few days later. I had the #8 both times I was there. It... More

This is so worth the effort of finding it - we were in Porto for four days and ate here on three of them ! On day one we started with two sandwiches , day two we had three and on the third day we made complete pigs (excuse the pun) of ourselves and had four !! Had to queue... More

An excelent to eat in between locals and as a local in Porto. It has one of the most amazing sandwiches in town. All in all an excelent place to discover portuguese typical products, ham, chorizo, portuguese cheese, wine, etc.
