Definitely one of the best things ever! For a snack you should try Sandes de pernil com queijo when in Porto! I am always coming back to the this place just to eat that, although I think is a little bit expensive (3-4€).

I heard about this place a while ago and was very curous about these famous sandwiches. Finally i got arround to taste them. One sandwich is clearly not enought, you need at least two to feel satisfied. The sandwich had a decent amount of cheese in eat but the overall sandwich should be larger for the price

We ordered the number 8 for lunch. Then again went back for dinner, and then after trying the famous francesinha a couple blocks away at Santiagos, we returned again for our number 8s: roasted pork and sheep's cheese. Simple deliciousness no fuss or frills. The soups ain't bad either. In general, I'm a person who eats meat only about once... More

The Pernil com Quiejo (slow roasted pork sandwich with a slab of soft mountain cheese and dipped in gravy) cost 3.90 Euros. A glass of draft Super Bock beer (dark or amber) cost 1.40 Euros. We ate outside in the sunshine. Casual and friendly spot. Not fine dining. Great taste.

The pork sandwich was great! A little bit dry when you choose the one without cheese. But you have to be a fan of (raclette) cheese to like it!

On the recommendation of our host in Porto, we went to Casa Guedes to try their roast ham and cheese sandwich. They are located a couple of blocks away from Batalha and Rua Santa Catarina, in an area with few tourists. Like other such places in Porto, Casa Guedes is a small, family-owned diner that features an L-shaped counter and... More

It was an unforgetable expierience. Wonderfull, perfect pork sandwich with soft cheese. I had one, then ordered another one in a split-second. And that cosy, family-type atmosphere. Place full of locals. No franchesina could ever compete with this meal. A must-try!

There was a line out the door of this place so I had to try it. I saw a lot of different sandwiches coming out as I waited, and they all looked tasty. Those salty hams and peppered salamis were making my mouth water. But i went with the staple of the establishment - warm, juicy pork roast sandwich with... More

Real homemade taste for an unforgettable experience. The place is small and simple, but it will steal your heart (and palate) with authentic portuguese flavours. The Sandes de Pernil is a "must-eat" at all costs (which by the way are extremely low), preferably with the house wine. We also tried the Queijo de serra with the pumpkin jam as a... More
