The food was so good! And the service was quick. I got the Bifana with both porks, fries, and a cider and it was all incredible! Definitely recommend

Surprised to see the number of positive reviews of this place. Our experience was not a good one. Poor food, served cold. Slow service.

Looks like a bar, with tables. The waiter pass periodically serving traditional portoguese warm fritters like croquettes with bacalau and cheese. I had a very good francesiña (sandwich woth many layers of meat covered with cheese and gravy) accompanied by sangria. Also the swwts were...excellent, I recommend the lime tart.More

This restaurant had a variety of dishes including seafood! We do not eat pork, so it was hard to find a place that meets our dietary needs. We ordered the Salmon and the Cod dishes. Both were very good, served over some vegetable. The service...was amazing and the staff was very attentive and friendly.More

We had a really fantastic meal here. Being the busiest Resturant in this area we decided it was definitely the one to go for and we were not disappointed. Had a beautifully cooked salmon fillet with lemon foam and veggies & my partner had the...steak. The service was professional, friendly and quick. Only one let down was the toilets. There was no toilet paper and they were a little smelly, but that’s easily addressed.More

We went as soon as we arrived in Porto and we loved it (on the 19th). Very good place with a very nice treatment and cheap and spectacular food. Why do I score so low? Because we liked it so much we went back before...leaving for Spain (the 20th for dinner) and I suffered totally discriminatory treatment by one of the waitresses. I did exactly the same as the day before, I sat at a table while my partner ordered food. A waitress approached me to let me know that the table was only for people who were going to eat. I got up embarrassed and went to the order line, and just when it was our turn I sat down again. The waitress started yelling at me and badmouthing me in front of everyone telling me that without food I couldn't sit down. I don't know if it's my age, that I'm a woman, Spanish or short, but I certainly don't accept this discriminatory treatment... I was also shocked that it came from a person belonging to a group at risk of exclusion....More

First of all the service was just excellent, all of the guys spoke perfect English and were very attentive and professionally friendly. The starters were just delicious especially the chicken+cheese one 🥰 The only minus is that the wait for food was a biiit long....Other than that, perfect place for beer + dinner.More

We were a group of 8 people for dinner in this emblematic Porto restaurant. The food is truly excellent. In particular the famous pork sandwich with cheese! I had a vegetarian sandwich with Portobello mushrooms. The idea is brilliant but the sandwich was a bit...bland and lacked seasoning. Nothing a bit of Mayo and chilly couldn't fix. The desserts were excellent as well, but not very imaginative. The soup was amazing. The service is friendly and helpful but sloppy. The waiter tried to memorize all the orders and, sure enough, made a few mistakes and forgot a couple of items. Why not note all the orders?More

Food is great and service is quick! Reasonable price. Try the Francesinha and the sandwich de pernil. But I'm sure most of the menu is good. I went 2x in one week

Sandwiches you dream about! We asked our Tuk-tuk driver for his favorite lunch spot. He finished our tour at Cafe Guedes and told us to order the cachorro, which he said was a local version of a hot dog. Forget that disruption- it was a...delicious sausage roll meets brioche with a creamy paprika bechemal sauce! There are two pieces so you can share and someone else can order the Chef Guedes special pork sandwich-with tender marinated pork and just a few toppings— I can never go back alone because I’d need to choose between these and I couldn’t! We wanted to be healthy and added a salad— the portions are very large, so you might want to eat your veggies with gazpacho at your next meal!More

We intended to visit for a quick bite off the bus from Lisbon before checking into our air B&B, it was packed and we quickly grabbed a seat whilst I then headed to order two sandwiches and drinks, the waiter quickly fired off at me...that we couldn’t sit until we had ordered… I explained I was then ordering and we wanted to sit and eat, and my partner sat at our table and I was in the que. He said again we must wait until we get our food. I was a bit confused as I didn’t want to order and then find out we couldn’t get a seat! In the end my partner just stayed at our table, I ordered two port sandwiches and two fizzy drinks which we waited half an hour for… so much for a speedy bite to eat. Definitely wasn’t worth the wait and all in all was rather dry and definitely nothing to rave about.More
