My husband and I are foodies who travel to eat at Michelin starred restaurants around the world. We were surprised that the chefs in Portugal, in particular Pedro Lemos, Jose Avillez and Miguel Rocha Vieira are on a par with those in San Sebastiano, Spain. We ate at all 3 of their restaurants. At Pedro Lemos, we did the tasting... More

You can't fault the food at Pedro Lemos; it is delicious and beautifully prepared. But we found the atmosphere chilly beyond belief--& that is not to say the temperature. It is overly formal, and we found the choreographed serving flourishes and L O N G waits between courses boring and by the end, frustrating. I was never able to access... More

Extraordinary in every way, the renowned Chef's eponymous upscale eatery continues to deliver every single visit and I've been here many many times since it opened. The food is stellar, both delicious and beautifully presented, with fresh and local ingredients as good as they can get. The service, diversity of the menu and excellent wine list make this one of... It's art on a plate. We had the 5-course tasting menu and matched wines. They say you eat with your eyes but pedros food takes your other senses too. Staff were so welcoming, knowledgeable and clearly enjoyed their work. I have a gluten and dairy intolerance and each dish was prepared with that in mind. If you are a genuine... More

This restaurant is situated a 12 Euro taxi drive from central Porto located in a non descript area. The welcoming was extremely warm & friendly. We enjoyed cocktails on their rooftop patio but with no view and were given the menus to peruse. They offered a tasting menu with a wine pairing which we took for the four of us.... More

I booked a table for 4 by phone from overseas some months in advance and then reconfirmed the booking in Porto on the day of the dinner. We arrived on time at 8.30pm and were shown to a table which, to our amazement, was located in a small dingy area close to the kitchen door. The table had a table... More

A michelin star in which you feel at ease, with obviously great food, but great care given to the customer and a good atmosphere. We went with small children and they were made to feel at ease too. The wine was superb as well as the Port.

First time in Porto and we had the chance to go to Pedro Lemos. It was a culinary experience. The food was excelent. The service very good too. We were in a small, quiet room where we could enjoy this fantastic modern portuguese cuisine. Fisht, meat, dessert, everything was perfect. It's not cheap, but its worth it.

The team was great from the beginning to the end, The lunch, which we left to the chef and team was absolutely amazing, a succession of colours and intense flavours. Complemented by Redoma Niepoort white, red and a Clos de Crappe to finish it all off. Great stuff, great work from everyone, utterly enjoyable

We were part of a group of 20 who tarvel annually to special places and appreciate outstanding food and wine. They seated us at two large, square tables upstairs - worked very well. Wine was poured throughout - started with a spectacular Portuguese cava, then Duoro white (verdejo) and then reds (Niepoort Redoma Res.& Bairrada garrafeira), closing with an excellent... More

Description
“Pedro Lemos” is one of Oporto’s most renowned restaurants. The chef ’s originality stands in a pleasantlysurprising contrast to the typical Portuguese flavors,so as to present the clients with unique and unforgettableculinary experiences, turning each meal into an“urban safari”. Located in Foz, one of Oporto’s mostbeautiful and emblematic historical neighborhoods, therestaurant’s venue is a building deemed of architecturalsignificance. It was first inaugurated in 1964 as a Britishinspiredpub that became a place of choice of that time’selites. At Pedro Lemos you can explore different spacesand ambiances, always exquisite and comfortable. The specialty of the restaurant are the seasonal tasting menus. The wine selection is carefully sourced, the service is impeccable.
