A very small restaurant with fantastic food. Excellent friendly service. Book ahead, very popular! Seafood cooked with a Portuguese twist. Staff speaks some English.

True Portugal. Food was traditional and delicious. Small environment. Extra friendly staff. The Sardinha was awesome. I recommend.

The meal was cooked to perfection, good basic home cooking, the only criticism is the presentation could be more appealing.

Greatly enjoyed the seafood casserole (off the menu special) that included octopus, oysters, clams and prawns with rice in a tomato base and a port tenderloin dish. Very flavorful and reasonably priced. We had the lime tart, almost tart and cookie cake for dessert. The waiter was knowledgeable about wine and food pitiful and service was excellent. This is a... Really classic Portuguese style restaurant and food, with gracious and very polite host. Super enjoyable and authentic experience to be had here.

This is an old place that lost some of its splendour, but is still a safe and good choice for dining downtown and close to Ribeira. The owners are a couple that has been running this restaurant since the past 30 years and still they offer genuine Portuguese dishes such as oven braised octopus, bacalao and different choices of meet.... Fantastic little family run place just up from the river serving local food with a focus on seafood. All dishes were cooked to perfection and were delicious. The staff were very friendly even though we don't speak Portuguese. Highly recommend.

The first time we went, I ordered the caldo verde (green broth). This a very traditional soup in Portugal and this is the best... More
