About
• Rei dos Queijos has returned to his City. We have maintained the essence that has always characterized us, but we have renewed our offer. The cheeses continue to be diverse and faithful to our nation - always Portuguese and only Portuguese. But the times change, and Porto nightlife inspired us to bring a contemporary touch to our essence - a menu reinvented side by side with João Pupo Lameiras, so that whoever visits the Rei not only has dozens of national cheeses, but also other suggestions (with or without cheese) that the Chef recommends. Welcome to the Rei dos Queijos. Come in and enjoy! • Cuisine type: Portuguese, Author, Mediterranean • Specialties: National Cheeses, Roast Beef, Steak

We had a meal at the Rei dos Queijos on Tuesday evening 11 June and were not disappointed. I chose the duck with cherries on a bed of creamy rice and it was absolutely delicious. The Manager and staff were very attentive and gave advice...More

Lovely accent indeed! Please protect it and don´t break if others don´t understand. This Europe (and that day unfortunately me) make everything flat. Rei dos Queijos shows many "niches" and many accents around the table and cheese. THANK YOU SO MUCH

What a fantastic place, with a great menu - truly something for everyone. The service was very personal and our waiter was great with his recommendation of wine to go with the meal. We couldn't fault it - GREAT value for money.More

A special place for sure, the interiors are well preserved since 1925 as they told us. The dinning room look in fact a piece of the local history and culture. The food is a quite interesting experience, Portuguese cuisine with a new approach, somehow integrating...More

Special night at “King of Cheese”, a former cheese shop that became this beautiful restaurant in a vintage original decor. The place is quiet, charming, even on a full house Saturday night, the acoustics of the main dining rooms seemed comfortable. They told us this...More

One of the most fantastic dining experiences we’ve had in Portugal! Delicious food (innovative, builds on contrasting and complementing flavours) and exquisite selection of wines, including Port wine, served in a cosy and very friendly atmosphere. But the best of it all was the service...More

Rei has no rules for what a meal is: A cheese platter? A small cheese serve and a caffé? A desert and a glass of water? a good conversation around a 20 years port? We still don´t know You did it very well because you...More
