I have been in café progresso on the 30th of december and at the begining wasn't a good experience because as day the after they were closed most of all of options were on the menu weren't available/or out of stock. As we were there...we have chosen a toast with jam and butter and to drink we have got cappucino and latte. When i tasted the first piece of my toast i felt in love! Simply delicious! I recommend a visit for sure!More

3 of us went for midweek brunch. Everything was excellent- lovely staff, great service. Omelette was perfect and the toast-! The nicest toast I've ever had ! Absolutely loved it.

If you are looking for a good cup of drip coffee, this place has it. The cafe had two single origin roasts available that day for a Chemex pot, V60 pour over, and more. They also have espresso and other great drinks. The baked goods...are also delicious. The cake of the day was a chocolate cake, it was perfect.More

The OLDEST cafe in Porto. Had to stop in when I saw their coffee menu and espresso machine. Plus they do cold brew and pour overs. Yes!! A REAL coffee house! We had a quick açaí bowl to share, a cold brew served with orange...rind (such a good twist!) and a Chai tea latte! Great and friendly service. Only complaint was the pricing. A bit high compared to others in the area. They are trying to be a bit too hip and expecting the ‘tourists’ to pay but for most it’s a bit high. Other than that it’s great.More

Bad porto wine glass 4 euros! 2 eggs with cheese 6 euros, it's a very very small portion, ridiculous! Be aware, it's a tourist trap!!

It is supposed to be frequented by the intelligentsia, but it seems a bit more commercial and too clean cut for that. Nice coffee and lovely entrees.

Hip cafe with good food, coffee and fresh juice. Feels like Melbourne. If you want that trendy coffee fix head here.

We've been here this month three times, firstly for coffee, than either for coffee and breakfast. Coffee is the best in city, and there is many possibilities of alternative preparing like chemex or drip. Breakfasts are pretty good Stuff is perfectly nice and fast. Weekend...is crowdy so you need to book a table for breakfast. I recomend and love this place.More

We walked in early, they open at 8.00 am, and ordered coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice and an omelet and bacon and eggs. Food was above expectations, the bread that accompanied it was a superb sour dough. The juice was made as we waited. Now...the coffee is another thing. They roast on site and that is a good sign. The Barista made a Cortardo that is the best we have had in Europe during our three week visit. If you are a coffee ‘nut’ you must come here. We wish we’d found it earlier.More
