Visited on our first day in Porto as tables outside shop were welcoming. A glass or two of what I guess was the house white was so good we had to go back two other times during our break. Never felt rushed or pressured to...order food and we just sat in the sun and enjoyed the wine.More

Friendly welcome from knowledgeable English speaking hosts. Not rushed even when busy and crowded. Great selection of wines, ports and sardines. Good for wine and cheese platters outside normal eating times. We enjoyed cheese and meat platter at 4 pm.

This casual cafe / bar on rue des Flores is so unassuming. The pavement tables are limited (3) but it offers charm and good service. Even just a cup of flat white makes you feel you are a VIP. We went back a few times...during our week in Porto and love the atmosphere. Great staff!!!More

This is a great spot. A lovely little cafe which serves a range of food and drinks, and you can sit outside (4 tables) or inside. If you sit on the street it catches the evening sun which is delightful. Good range of Portuguese classics...and perfect for an afternoon or early evening snack and drink.More

This place was lovely! Staff very friendly, location pretty and atmosphere nice. We ordered a mixed platter consisting of x3 cheeses, x3 meats, nuts, bread and pumpkin jam - all of which were delicious! We also ordered x2 glasses of white wine which was the...best glass we had during our stay in porto. I would definitely recommend coming here as it was a great bite to eat and for all of the above only cost 14 euros!More

This management is not professional and refused to allow me in the shop with the visor on saying only masks are allowed. I had already been here last night and as a return customer I had same food as last night. I asked if I...pay inside and was told by a staff yes to pay inside. I thought I would buy products from their shelves to bring back home. Management came over and I was told to leave the premises as I was not allowed to wear visor, only masks. How rude! i covered my face but she got scared. So i left and waited for her as I cannot pay in store for the meal I had. She sent the young one out to process the payment. I was told to pay inside.More

Dear customer, we are very sorry for the event. Mask is mandatory inside the shop, unless for dinners who are having the meal as long as they are seated. It is not allowed to circulate inside without a proper mask. Due to the terrible situation...More

We had the sheep cheese with fig syrup, which was incredibly yummy. Recommend the IPA beer to go with that. Unfortunately, service was slow (despite the place being practically empty) and not very motivated, that‘s why I only have 4 stars.

After visiting nearby Museu da Misericórdia, my wife and I followed the advice of our "Pocket Rough Guide to Porto" guidebook and walked further on up Rua das Flores to their highly recommended Merceria das Flores. This was to be the first of our three...visits to this lovely deli/cafe, so impressed were we with it. Two of our visits were for light mid-day lunches and the other visit was for a late evening coffee and snack. The food is always very tasty and features many local delicacies, the service is very good, the presentation is classy and the setting is very relaxing. Even better, prices are reasonable. As well as the food served in the cafe, the shelves offer a very impressive selection of tinned sardines, bottles of Portuguese drinks and other local products. My wife and I thought that Rua das Flores retains much of its "Old World Grace" and Merceria das Flores certainly plays its part in that. On this visit we visited it three times and I hope we will be back again soon.More

We found this little gem after walking out from another restaurant as we were left for so long with not even an acknowledgement - so came across here and had a lovely little hour nibbling on a cheese board, drinking local wine and tasting the...local delicacies - the young man who looked after us was pretty quiet and shy but was attentive - gorgeous shop inside, worth a look!More

We stumbled across this small shop and restaurant whilst pottering around Porto and sat outside by the street for a light lunch watching the world go by. Delicious cheese and meat selection as well as a wide range of classic Portuguese canned fish washed down...with a lovely glass of wine. So good for a casual, light lunch, my wife insisted that we came back again.More
