This place has a nice vibe to it. We had grilled squid, grilled Portuguese swordfish and açorda, all of which were excellent value for money. This is one of those places that is worth moving away from the Cais.

We chose this restaurant as it appeared to have a better range of traditional food than those restaurants looking out onto the river and we were not disappointed. The quality of the food and the service were excellent and the prices were very reasonable. In terms of service, the young waiter serving my wife's soup spilled a tiny amount onto... More

There are so many of these little restaurants in the narrow streets of Porto but this one stood out - I had the grilled prawns and my husband had the monk fish curry. We both got stuck in and obviously enjoyed our meals - took some of it away with us on our clothes. Great atmosphere and service. It's in... More

We visited as a couple on successive evenings in July 2016 and really enjoyed the feel of the place and the very friendly guys who worked hard to deliver a very good service. It felt authentic Portugal in terms of the decor (we ate inside), welcome and banter, and the food was quite memorable. It was a bit of a... More

It was nice to walk down a shaded alley on a very hot day. We ate inside, although they also had tables set up outside. It is a small restaurant. The service was excellent and the price was reasonable. We got one shellfish rice and one monkfish rice. The shellfish rice was better. The portions are large. We couldn't finish... More

We had a really good time here. It is a nice, comfortable, homey place..very "European". We sat near the kitchen and felt like we were part of the action. Talk with Daniel, he'll take the time to share some inside tales. And, do not miss the pears for dessert. This is like something you've never tasted before, kind of addictive.... More

WE found this restaurant in June 2016 while exploring Porto. It is small but full of atmosphere, the lunch we had was fantastic, we both had fish, the portions were large and tasted great. Extremely good value and we would recommend a visit.

We dined here two nights in a row it was that good. We had the shellfish stew and for dessert pears in red wine the first night. Just fantastic. The second night was octopus and then coconut cake. Again just fantastic. The service was spot on and friendly and the wine list the best local fare. Prices were good and... More

We found this restaurant in the Rick Steves Portugal tour book and enjoyed lunches on two different days at this place. Both days we sat outside to enjoy the people watching. The first day we both had omelets which we found to be excellent. In Portugal an omelet comes generally with french fries and a salad. This amount of food... More
