Very good meal and superb service from Russo. We chose this restaurant on recommendation from our apartment owners. The food is typical local cuisine. The portions are very large so perhaps think about sharing dishes. We probably over ordered... Overall it was a great evening.

Food is real traditional Portuguese, octopus is cooked perfect, monkfish rice tastes like when I was young , cod fish is exactly what you expect. Great restaurant when you love Portuguese food. Service has been and could be better, perhaps due to COVID .

For my main course I had a very good tradicional portuguese dish bacalhau á lagareiro. The dish was tasty. My waiter was friendly and helped me to practice my Portuguese. Everything very correct.

Perhaps one of the most traditional restaurants in Porto, Abadia remains faithful to its traditions and long time customers. If looking for tasty, traditional and unexpensive restaurant, this is the best option in town. Waiters are friendly and dishes can be shared.

A Portuguese friend said that I must go and try Tripas in ABADIA DO PORTO A well established, traditional local restaurant. So, off I went. Liking the old fashion setup as soon as I walked-in. Antique warriors swords and shields proudly displayed on the wall...also dangling on walls were some huge chunky smocked leg hams... Soft chairs, white table cloth. I was taken to the upper level, it feels like sitting down in an old theatre's dress circle. Ordered a beer, I went straight to a half portion of Tripas(I was warned portions in Portugal were huge). Gooood! The waiter look at me with smoulder eyes, knotted his head. 10 minute later, he brought out a big pot of casserole enough to feed 2/3 people together with bread, rice, potatoes. The tripas smelled so delicious, it tasted even better. SO Yummy! Also, the service was decent, staff were friendly. Highly recommended 👍👍👍More

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel. It did not disappoint. The restaurant is huge,,,very relaxed style,,,but clean and tidy. Our hotel had booked us a table,,,we did have to wait a few minutes to be seated. We had a lovely waiter Angelo,,he explained...some dishes. It was value for money. There was 8 of us,,and all our food, was lovely. We would be happy to return if we go back to Porto.More
