Nice place in the centre of the old town

We had an evening meal here in October, so we sat inside the restaurant. We had a very enjoyable meal. I had the salmon, which was lovely, and my husband had the cod, which he expected to enjoy, but actually didn't very much. The waiter asked about it, and suggested that it wasn't to his taste... read more

Good value, good food, good service. Say no more ? No, don't walk past ! Solid unassuming regional food in a traditional setting.

We planned this badly, arriving just before 15:00 (they are supposed to stop serving then) but the waiter who also spoke good English couldn't be more helpful. Vegetarian sausage, an omelette, salads, wine, more interesting Portuguese cakes, can definitely recommend

The restaurant is located on an absolutely stunning square (especially at night, when all the windows lit up), however the restaurant itself is not actually that exceptional. The food was good, service seemed not to be really interested (but they provided us with blankets since it was a cold night without hesitation). We would definitely recommend the location for a... We ate here on a sunny lunchtime in March. The location in one of the historic squares is difficult to beat, our waiter was really friendly and helpful, and the food and wine really good. Would definitely return.

We went end of Nov for lunch day of festival, in fact we were lucky to get table. Sat outside in square, watching the world go by. Food & service was excellent, I had local sea food & hubby had sardines. Could not fault it at all. Really enjoyed having the local Santiago vino verde & found prices very reasonable.

Well located in the historical center, it a tourist restaurant. However, the food was quite good, served quickly and the potions were at the right size. Service was good and prompt. Prices were reasonable, if one skips dessert.

Family I was visiting took me out to see the sights of Guimaraes at night, had been raining, not a soul in the streets Within the old city, charming area, and this restaurant had a few tables of clients, 90% of them tourists, all the other restaurants were empty. Mediocre food, same for service I watched the chef in the... More
